Thanks, Daniel, for a no BS, honest-to-goodness, useful video. No waste of time with fancy video cuts, graphic overlays, etc. Just to-the-point, which sadly too many people don't do anymore.

Great video! I upped my jet to a 92 in my hss928a. We had 90cm of snow yesterday and today I got to test it out and the Honda has turned into a beast. Takes on a full bucket with moderate pace and doesn't bog down. Unreal. I would never have tried the rejet without this video.. so thank you!

@@bombidude Noticeable difference 100%. I didn't mess with anything during the warranty period. Mine was out last fall, so I did the jet swap, and the impeller mod. Throws the heavy stuff significantly farther, and doesn't bog the blower down compared to the models from 5-10 years ago. No soot on the spark plug either, so definitely not too rich. YMMV but it's easily reversible if you don't like the results.

Worked great. I picked up a Honda brand name jet from MTD on Amazon (Honda 99101-ZH8-1100 Jet Main (#110)). Process shown works great. All of the bolts are 10mm and if you don't have the socket, a 10mm wrench comes with the blower. Notes: gasoline takes the sharpie off, the screwdriver needs to have a very thin blade - basically the standard tip thickness (not width) of a 1/4" tip screwdriver, and when removing the guard a second wrench might be necessary for the stand-off bolt.

Just made the mod to the #110 main jet on a HSS1332 GX390, the difference is very noticeable under load, at full forward speed with heavy snow the engine has much more torque and doesn’t falte when the governor engages. Thanks Daniel for posting the video, cheers from Montreal!

Can’t say for sure if it would void a warranty. If your issue needing repair was a chuter motor, then I doubt a different jet would cause any problems. If it was deemed to be a carb related then maybe.

Have a new HSS928 that lives permanently at 8000' and is used almost daily. Currently has the recommended middle jet (82) from Honda installed. Would installing in the higher altitude jet be a better choice? Honda recommends it at 10,000'. Middle jet range is 5-10,10000'.

I would stick with the stock jet at that elevation. It might run a little rich for the time being, but as the engine breaks in and the compression rises, the #85 should work really well.
