Just finished watching your ST11 and this video, I was surprised to be honest, both were very informative and extremely entertaining! I fell in love with these bikes and I will buy one of them in the future. Information mixed with your humour was the best thing ever. Thank you sir!

that looks like a bike I'd have loved.. had a v65 Magna (1985) that I loved but it didn't handle all that well, pulled like a banshee but corners could get exciting. I enjoy your videos, thanks!

I bet that dude was braking because he thought you were a cop! Loved to see the quick pass at the end. Brought back some good memories. There were many times on the ST1300 that I was shocked to look down and see how fast I was going. Powerful and smooth bike. Cheers.

Yeah I’ve had a few people think that , it’s not always a good thing 😂. I agree it’s deceiving how quick it is . Thanks for watching mate , I appreciate it .

I just bought an ex-police ST1300 back on June 22nd, 2022 and I owned it for less than a month before I had to get the clutch plates replaced. I bought it from a local dealer which handles retired police vehicles for about $3,600 US. Some people say that I got cheated but I expected it because I bought a 2005.
@JonnyLeeguitarist2 жыл бұрын
Clutch is general wear and tear . You’ve still got an amazing machine 😎

I have had both the st1100 and the st1300. I loved them both but the 1300 was my dream bike. If it wasn’t for advancing arthritis I would still be riding it now.
@JonnyLeeguitarist10 ай бұрын
Weirdly I preferred the 1100 .

I’m sorry but I have never seen a 1300 police bike with rear box on it. I’ve had 2 1300STP bike over 14 years riding as a funeral motorcycle escort rider. They were both 2006s with both over 150,000 miles on them. They were GREAT bikes, unfortunately, retirement and moving to the US east coast changed my riding. Still miss it though.

I bought a 2006 last Saturday for a good price. 39,000 miles and a few nice accessories. Not in perfect condition, but good shape. It has those high dollar batwing pegs on it and a little top box.

I just picked a 2012 in the States with 5250 miles on it! Mint, like new condition! What a great find, a great motorcycle. No idea why they stopped selling these? Delkavic mufflers really give this awesome V-4 engine a nice growl!! Loving it so far!! Sorry about your F-ing shite hip Jonney, I have a shite knee.
@JonnyLeeguitarist2 жыл бұрын
Yeah I’ve thought about changing the exhaust , but I kinda like stealth mode . Yeah the Hip thing is becoming more of a problem , so I think another triumph tiger 1050 is coming to my collection . I’ll keep the Pan tho .. thanks for watching mate I appreciate it.

I just purchased mine in November of last year. My first street bike and I'm almost a "pensioner" as you say. ;) Quite a bit heavier than the dirt bikes I grew up riding. She's a big girl, but I always did like 'em top heavy anyway. The seat is an issue for me too, as it becomes uncomfortable after about a hour or so. I am very interested in the Top Cellerie seat as well. Please do a review of the Top Cellerie once you get it on the bike. Thanks and keep the videos coming on the ST1300. Cheers!

Boss video Baldy.... Mine was an 1100 and would have kept it if my legs had been a few inches longer (f**kin 29 ins ). Great bike that handles surprisingly well and enough grunt for any eventuality.

Im torn between this or a yamaha fjr1300, I just want a cheap 2 or 3k bike for the odd run out at weekends.

Either is very good . You’d probably get a newer FJR for your money tho .

you will have plenty of time for your hip to heal if you buy the bmw ;;; as you will be sat in the dealers repair shop quite often ;;; for your style -- maybe the crossrunner 800 or 1200 honda ;

Just bought 2002 pan, do you still own yours now ? ( May 2023 ) and if so what are your thoughts about the bike after owning and riding it since this video ?
@JonnyLeeguitarist Жыл бұрын
I went back to the 1100 pan , the 1300 was a great bike , a bit heavy and to be honest I just preferred the 1100 .

Developed a weave, No, check facts...one trainee police office died then a test rider, All put down to the extra police stuff on the bike, lights and stuff made it unstable.

@colinm1325 Жыл бұрын
@@SA-OtherStuff Hey, the 'pan weave' fix, which johnny vid please?
@SteveACoetzee Жыл бұрын
@@colinm1325 Hi Colin. I don't seem to be able to find it either. It has to do with the tire pressures that need to be around F=2,9 and R=3,1bar.. And the rebound needs to be turned in a fair bit so that there is very little rebound (stops/slows the "springiness"). This needs to be fully operational and serviced. Very simple, but very tricky. I found how to do it on the ST-Owners group, and the guys's name/ handle is Igorfar(?). Also helps to relax when riding a Pan European (ST1300) as the input form the rider is transferred to the "derryend" and thus the bike. Remember this bike can corner quite fantastically for such a big machine. I wear the outsides of my boots off... I have done over half a million kms on my ST1300s.....never a twitch... PS I've seen the "weave' on may other makes of bikes, so it's not only a Pan's problem. Sometimes it loading, set-up, conditions, or even the rider... and even seen it on a GL1100 Goldwing. I was riding with my mate and watched it happen. He managed to save that one!!! WOW!!! Hope this helps. Enjoy.
