Billy the reason the shock mount tore. Is from when it flipped back it hit the cage hard and then transitioned to that tire forcing it to over extend tearing the tab. I would be carful re-enforce the tab. If it is too strong it will rip the tabs off of the frame.

Really glad Billy is ok. It’s nice to hear that you guys are going to weld up and strengthen the shock mounts. A lot of guys would just claim it on insurance and either get a new frame or total the machine. I have seen a lot of SXSs being totaled lately for completely repairable things. I suspect that’s why SXS insurance is so high. Love the content.
@BlownBudgetOffroad4 жыл бұрын
We would have fixed up the frame our selves but it was going back to rzr sharp for the cage so he fixed up the shock mounts while he had it. But yeah, totally fixable!

The KRX seams to be a nice unit. I just thank it should have came with a 3 cylinder instead of a 2 cylinder. The 3 cylinders have more torque at a lower RPM than the 2 cylinders.
@phillipmcr4 жыл бұрын
The main thing is he’s ok, hopefully Tippy can be fixed.
@KTMcaptain3 жыл бұрын
So a torque limiter would have saved him from rolling over... it was close to not. Too bad he didn’t have instant reverse. Would be a cool feature to add to rock crawlers... an electric motor on the rear axle that can give you maybe a 20hp boost fwd but has an instant reverse button to help torque the front end back down.
@penniesfromheavon3 жыл бұрын
I own a 2021 KRX 1000 most of what I’m seeing in this video & the last one I saw is he don’t know how to use that KRX (maybe he’s not had it long) but it should of went up that rock no problem. I go into 4x4 or low mode and it climbs whatever I line it up to.
@BlownBudgetOffroad3 жыл бұрын
This may be true, but also have to consider two things. The camera always makes the hardest obstacles look like a gravel rode and a bad tire will make a good driver look bad. Thanks for the view and comment, hope your subscribed! -Josh

@KTMcaptain3 жыл бұрын
23:57 actually, if the front axle was broken the talon would lose all front whee drive. It’s an open diff that uses brakes to distribute torque. Break one then it’s 2wd. Same concept of a center axle disconnect. Unlock on axle shaft and the open axle becomes useless.
@codynicklow81734 жыл бұрын
