Respect for your Mates Great Granfather in WWII. The Old Flour Mill was amazing. They certainly built them to last in those days. I just bought a Transalp 650 myself so that's how I found your channel. My Grandad also fought in WWII. He was in the Solomon Islands in the Pacif. All power to you Both. Ride and live free!

@@hghazoly2 'frource, because if you look after it, it's almost immortal bike, average engine life is 250k km. There are copies that drove through 400k km.

Thank you for that. I am trying to get a practical thumb-rule for nice comfortable touring speed on say, "worn gravel roads". I guess it is impossible to give a thumb-rule because true road condition and riding skills are variables.

600 little be better off-road characteristics, but 650 more modern and responsive on highway
