Just like the bike I used to have and eventually still have now, if I didn't have an accident... Amazing bike! My faithful companion for 18 years. Initially I didn't like the blue, but now it's weird to not have a blue bike. Treat her well and she'll treat you well :)

I actually bought the same exhaust for my vfr800 from 98 with the stock pipes, but mine is slanted off to the right. I see yours is neatly in line with the body. Did you have to fix any issue to get it neat like that?

@@tadasbru yes, I'm just thinking if I choose round or oval. Round is more slim and "stock like". Since the exhaust is a long one, maybe oval will look huge from the side view, as the stock one looks... I think. :) what do you think?

Hmm almost looks like a high mount could be used with the givi racks?

My friend has a high-mount exhaust and the same Givi racks and cases. However, they don't fit together. He slips the original pipe back on for long holidays journeys with side cases. However there is a modified pl166 rack from Givi which can be used with the high mount. It's one of the reasons I opted for the low mount. But actually this one is not that low - the link pipe raises it around an inch (I drilled a new hole in the plastic holder), and you get another inch from a much smaller (and 2kg~4lbs ligher) muffler. I love the effect it gives on the rear wheel supported by a single-sided swingarm.

Tadas B Okay, I´m about to pick up a blue -01 myself within the following month or so. It has a high mount GPR silencer and I´m just looking around a bit with luggage racks etc. A friend of mine has a SW motech rack that I might buy.

This one is much lighter (by 3-4 kg) and it's much less bulkier, looks neater and exposes more of the beautiful rear wheel itself. The sound with the dB-killer is slightly richer. Once without the dB-killer - it's just amazing, very "sporty"!

I own the same motorcycle and i also want to swap muffler but i fear what happens to fuel/air ratio? Do you have ani issues wit the new muffler?

You should notice minor losses on low revs, but nothing critical.I have a delkevic on mine

Yes, indeed. Candy blue used to be a rare option in Europe but I guess not in the US as far as I know.

It is, there is a link pipe which goes straight on the catalytic converter and the mufler slides on the link pipe.
