Hi "V4 Rider", please help me with some question about VFR800F RC93. Just bought one recently and I'm not familiar with V4 engine layout, had inline 4 (F4i) for 8 years. At town riding at 50-70km/h second gear, the temperature climbs to above 100C, sometimes to 104C when the fan kicks in and cools her down. Outside town where I manage to ride with around 100km/h, temperature stays around 95-100C. Only on highway when I reach 130-150km/h I can drop the temperature of the coolant to 80-90C. How is yours, are this values normal for a VFR800F? I heard V4 engines run hotter than L4 but I was wondering if this is normal or should I worry. Air temperatures at this time in my country is 20C so I expect the engine to run even hotter during summer time and I am afraid not damaging the engine. Thanks

Hi! Those temperatures are normal. V4s run very hot, the back cylinders are hard to cool that's why the engine is always hot. Don't worry, just make sure the coolant it's on the level. ✌️

Yes, the engine heats a lot when riding slow. Not the best motorcycle to ride in the city...
