Well, BRP didn't start making ATVs until 98 and they weren't called Can-Am until 2007. So... Yeaaaaaaaah. I love how everyone clings to the "It'll last forever" argument with Honda. The only good thing about Honda is they don't have a CVT and they even managed to somehow make that less than impressive. I've never seen a Honda do anything awesome. Actually, I take that back, it is an awesome sight to see my buddy Bobby waiting on us with that glorious cooler strapped to his machine, waiting to give us a cold beer. See, he carries the beer so it doesn't get all shaken up because his Honda won't go through the stuff everybody else does. Long story short, I don't know if you ski or not, but you'd last forever too if you stayed on the bunny slopes.

it's to simulate mud, wet leafs, or what ever would be slick enough to stop three of your wheels from turning, allowing only one wheel with traction to grab. I don't know what kind of riding you do (Seems kinda wussy) but this is related to conditions you could easily find in the fall or spring time let alone winter with slippery snow everywhere. sometimes one wheel grabbing that one spot is how you make it through or over whatever it is stopping you.

Dude, I think can am has some really cool, fast and good sounding machines but would go with a honda, why? Well reliability, price, parts, you name it. Plus....if you look closely the can am had a gap in between the tire and the bar. Yes it got over because it had a small running start, the Honda was all the way up against the bar and the dude leaned on the Honda and it came right off. This should actually show the Honda is better but can am....I guess

THE MUD BOGGER yea I did actually otherwise I wouldn't have said it lol. Pure BS like another commenter said if he hadn't bumped off it and gotten a running start it never would have went over
@jasonmiller94954 жыл бұрын
I was gonna say the same. That little roll backwards helped it out. The Honda was pressed against the obstacle the whole time with now roll back at all

The can am wasn’t spinning all four either it is just taller so it got over easier

You damn well know he was not accelerating enough when he was on the Honda. You can see the tire about to jump over “the log”... both are good brands I would seriously consider both not just Honda and this is coming from a guy that was given his first ATV at 12 years old and it was a Honda recon. But sometimes demonstrators can be “funny”

Can-ham has a limited slip front diff locker. (Basically the same as the 420) The difference is that on a Can-ham the left side is locked and right side not locked (when behind the bars). The Honda’s is locked on the right side and not locked on the left side (When behind the bars). This test was made for the Can-ham. This test was BS

It’s called positive traction the rancher didn’t the foreman does have differential but mostly depends if you want a can am for a month or a Honda for 20-25 years

I like how he bumped it so he got back so he could get a running start he didn’t do that with the Honda

I have this can am in 570 cc and it doesn't have diff lock in front. I have been stuck so many times because of it. That's why torq locker makes so much money.

All you have to do is pull the front brake lever just a bit on the honda and the front axle will divide the power across the front axle!

I agree with one of the other comments--check on those Canned Hams in about 10 years and see how many of them are still going over anything. I have an 04 Foreman with nearly 8000 miles on it and its still running. It's been through absolute hell. I'll just winch over the log if I need to.

My Honda is 20 years old and never had a problem. I have buried it to the handle bars in mud and still no problem. If you are wondering I put a lift kit on and run 27" ITP Mega Mayhem's. It is a honda foreman 450. Yes the 27's eat alot of power for this machine but the machine keeps pushing them. I love the way can am's look but every single person I know that have them always say....it is always something with this machine just always something. so my question is the always something worth the horse power or your demonstration shown here?

The best made ATV ever is a Honda. They last forever. That’s why CanTAm’s always have engine problems in deep water. My 02 Honda TRX450es Foreman is bulletproof. Recommend services, Gas and giving her hell is all my Honda asks from me. This winter I’ve been restoring the ole girl. Adding an additional 6 inch lift with my current lift for a total of 12 inches. A new set of rims with tractor tires. All I’m gonna do is add a jetted carb and tune up. Almost a 20 year old quad that doesn’t leak a drop of oil in and she idles like a sowing machine. Ohh and my Honda was Assembled in South Carolina!

I'm not sure if this guy knows the difference or not but the 4 wheel drive setup on any can am is the very same thing, (only 1 tire pulls in front) Why can't people be honest and say that? Polaris and many other ATV brands now have true 4-wheel drive meaning either front diff lock or like Polaris, AWD. Can-Am is the one that lacks true 4-wheel drive.
@c90adventures Жыл бұрын
Squeeze the front brake lightly on the Honda and it'll lock the diff and go over that obstacle no problem.

Why didn’t u floor it on the can am like u did the Honda? Also hold the front brake and it’ll climb over it

Lifelong Honda owner here and just bought a Can Am a year ago! This guy isn’t entirely correct on either. First the Honda is not cheaper. I was able to buy a Outlander 650 brand new for $1000 less than the new Foreman 520. The difference is quality. Can Am isn’t bad quality but I can tell this isn’t going to be one I get 30,000 miles of hard riding out of. It’s comparable to Yamaha, Kawasaki, and better than Polaris. But no Honda. And “clicking” that 4 wheel drive switch is pretty awkward on it when you’re in a pinch. Can Am is definitely got them all in power and handling. But my next will be a Foreman 520. I’m not a fan of wrenching and not riding.
@Rzero5126 жыл бұрын
What's the difference? that you throttled the Can-Am harder than you did the Honda? I have a Honda 420 and spend my days winching CAn Ams out of the pits they pretend they can go through.

Noah Roy I love on demand front locking diffirential systems like king quad, grizzly, arctic cat mudpro, and honda Rubicon. I have owned them and still have the mudpro. I also own a 2018 renegade xmr 1000r with a quick engagement visco lok in the front. When mudding with stock 30" cryptids it engages quickly and works great. And with the power you can get through way more. Now if I was climbing, I would have to have a on demand system

You can dif lock a Honda if it’s a foreman or higher but if it’s not just hold the front brake and it’ll lock up
@franklinstidham90376 жыл бұрын
Why didn't you show the honda 450 against the can am 450 because the Honda 450 and 500 have lockers and can am doesn't they have a visco lock that doesn't work half the time

I love Hondas reliability. But my front locker on my can am 450 works amazing. Pulls me out of holes all the time. It’s been reliable for me honestly, and I’m hard on it pushing 3000 miles. But the whole belt situation depends on the rider, if you put in low goin up hills or in high as long as you keep moving at a good speed your belt should last a long time. No hate just my opion
@jasond12455 жыл бұрын
No it's 4wd with a open front diff but he didn't mention can am rear diff problems or that the Honda will be running years later after the can am is in the junk pile or how can am visco-lok gives out after while.

The can am didn’t lock. Right wheel was spinning twice the speed of the left wheel. Diff was slipping. There is a vid that shows the Polaris sportsman vs the can am. Sportsman is the only one that truly pulls with all 4 wheels and can be driven full time in awd, no need to stop and lock. Re watch the video that can am clearly is 3wd. He rocked it over.
