Had my VTX 1300 58 plate since 2011, love it coming up to 50,000 miles.

Good to see this vid, my main runabout is a R/E Himalayan ,absolutely great little bike, every now and then I’ll take my old 97fl softail out for a run, it really makes me appreciate the lazy old vtwins torque. Great vids Mr Brown.

That was brilliant. I'm an ex biker and that short pov ride just brought the joy of riding back to me.

Nice review! Your bike was built in the Honda Plant I worked at for 37 years in Marysville, Ohio. Along with my Classic 350, I have a VTX1800c, your bike's big brother. They are huge, but easy to adjust to. moving between the bikes takes a few minutes, but it is nice to have a variety. The 108k on yours is good testimony to Honda durability. I agree with the stock pipes, loud gets old very quickly and hard on the ears. Stay safe, nice video.

I had a similar deer experience on my T140...just spent 3 months in hospital..been out 3 weeks..took the bike for a Sunday visit to an auto jumble in Chelmsford..heading home through the woods a herd af deer ran out..5 turned away but one went straight into the front wheel...BUGGER!!!🤬

@The_Incredible_Bulk1962 I think it's a more common problem than people think.

We spoke about the engine not long ago.. Just one thing about it is not as good as RE classic engines, you can't run it down at very low rpms .. I remember even with my smaller 400cc that is starting to rattle at 5th under 75 kph. .. I was dreaming for so many years for the old Africa Twin 650/750 .. Dream bike for a decade, but at 2-3 the price of what I could afford, just remained as a dream.
@Volcanicbrown18785 ай бұрын
@Stefan_trekkie You can run the 1300 with a closed throttle at 30mph, its revving lower than an Enfield will. Its a very long stroke engine with a huge crankshaft.

Motorcycles like that do perfectly well with nice inexpensive tires like Kenda's and Duros. Expensive grippy tires are for race replicas not for cruising motorcycles like that. You're certainly not going to make any speed records going around corners North speed records in any way shape or form.

I was 5'10 but after breaking & compressing my T3,T6,T7 between shoulder blades few years ago & so 5'9 .B❤ack plays up something wicked occasionally.I also twisted spine 30yrs ago & back arthritic & also helped height reduction.I got me a carbon fiber helmet to reduce weight & so I can ride for longer.

@ruahinesrider It seems to be a common injury amongst bikers. When I was in hospital there were two other bikers in with the same injury.
