My dads good friend and lead mechanic at his shop when i was a kid built me an xr80 with an xr250 engine. Modified cut and sectioned in the frame so it would fit. Looked completely stock. He did a great job. Super talented guy. What a great little bike. Absolute monster.

I had a 1980 xr80 when I was a kid and my cousin had a 79 Elsinore 80 that had a cracked case. We put all the suspension on my xr. Was an amazing improvement. That brings back many memories.

I love the one off bikes like the TMzilla and this XR80. When we were kids in the 1970’s we would modify Kawasaki KD 80’s XR 80’s DS 80’s and GT 80’s… We learned a lot about bikes modifying these jewels!!! Semper Fidelis 🇺🇸

Bitchen bike! I just picked up a 1979 XR80 in great stock shape without an engine for $200. I am going to locate an XR100 engine for it and now after seeing this the DG swing arm, pipe and CR125 forks!

Had a nice litely used XR75 in mid 80s as kid. The 1st real dirtbike I learned how to ride on! Still ride off rd to this day! #Yamaha #KTM

What kid wouldn’t want to ride red with that bad boy. Remember my buddy Ed riding an eighty X R 500 he dubbed the “ Torque Pig “ for its low end grunt and somewhat portly presence upon scale. His skills so great he could even fly on it.
