Your channel is amazing. It's like having my own NC750x DCT mechanic. Thank you so much for posting your videos solving all kinds of issues with your bike. I have exactly this problem and have been searching for a solution to solve it.

I’m glad I found your channel. I originally considered buying an Africa Twin for a daily commuter. Because of your great videos, I test rode the NC750X DCT. You convinced me with your easy maintenance videos and I now ride a 2019. This is the first new bike I’ve owned and so far the best bike I’ve had. Thank you, ride safe!

Great video, thanks very much. I was wondering why I couldn’t remove the side-stand bolt. I didn’t realise it actually screwed into the clamp, rather than just the nut holding it in place. Thanks again.

I had same problem on my Yamaha, and fixed it by grinding a bit of the stand and the other part, just enough to fit a washer in between, and no more play.

Thank you for sharing, have the same problem after I stepped onto the foot peg with the bike loaded for a road trip. That steel U-piece seems to give way quiet easily when exposed to too much weight. Great instructions.

Even though I can write in English I write in Russian. Просто для того, чтобы Вы знали, что ваш канал смотрят в России и для меня, как собственника Honda NC700X, он очень полезен. Это маленькая видео энциклопедия по обслуживанию этого мотоцикла. Спасибо!

Thank you for posting all these informative videos, I learned a lot from them. You have a magnificent voice, sounds like you should be on a talk show or a FM station, may be you are. I have one question, what year is your NC750X?

I also have the floppy side stand syndrome.. i always thought it was on purpose so if u lean the bike over, there's some extra play so it does not take too much force. Maybe we will never know Honda's sloppyness...
@AfricaTwin-Stuff4 жыл бұрын
HuskyRides - you could be right. It’s probably always been like that on mine, I’d just not noticed it. And it’s not really a “problem” that has to be fixed. But boredom and anal-retentiveness forces me to act!

@@AfricaTwin-Stuff Technically, I would suggest it is "floppy sidestand disorder" rather than syndrome. You can tell I'm bored. I just wish my DIY attempts went so well.

Thanks for the video guide, Any link/hint to kill switch removal?
@AfricaTwin-Stuff3 жыл бұрын
I like the kill switch on the side stand. It’s a nice safety feature. Tends to ruin your day if you ride off with the stand down then tip the bike into a tight corner.
@sshah8763 жыл бұрын
@@AfricaTwin-Stuff yep, it's great safety switch, I cracked mine, needs replacement now, don't know how to remove that whole switch assembly until connector.
@AfricaTwin-Stuff3 жыл бұрын
Ok. It’s easy to take the switch off the side stand. Just follow your nose. Then take the cover off the front sprocket. You should be able to follow the switch wiring back to a connector.

this sidestand play is intentional, and it is with every bike, not just this NC, you're overdoing the maintenance :)
