Honest 1st time Reaction: Lorna Shore - "To the Hellfire"

Hey everyone! Wow, what a wild ride with Lorna Shore's "To the Hellfire". This one was definitely not my cup of tea, as I mention a few times in this video. The intensity and ferocity of this song left me speechless, but I couldn't understand a word he said. Metal fans, you might love this, but it's a bit too extreme for my taste.

I feel it’s best not to throw people who don’t even really like hard rock into deathcore. It’s a gradual build to acquire a taste or at least general appreciation for a lot of people, and you got thrown in the deepest part of the ocean. I think listening to some rock, metalcore, or something along those lines would have been more appropriate for where you are at in this point in your musical journey. I think something like Bullet For My Valentine- Hearts Burst Into Fire or Parkway Drive-Vice Grip might make you not hate metal so much. Might as well throw Beartooth - I Was Alive in there too if you haven’t seen it, it has such a wonderful sentiment I think we all need to be reminded of from time to time.

Yeah also when you consider that even for extreme metal Into The Hellfire is so extra lol. Im a Metalhead and even I do not particularly like this song. I personally just feel they over produced the song and tried way too hard to make it sound "extreme". So I can't blame our lovely host for being off put. 😂 They have better songs.

@ThaStranger11 I agree, into the hellfire, especially the album version, which is a show case of raw talent at the sacrifice of enjoyment, pure emotional art. I like Will's vocals live his onetake performances of "into the earth" and "suneater" and both the live session and lyric video of the "pain remains." trilogy. The lyric video really brings it all together.

And it’s definitely he as in Will Ramos. If you’re going to keep doing reactions, try to familiarize yourself with the band you’re reviewing. Take five minutes or longer to visit Wikipedia for an artist page (not every band has one) but most of the more popular/established bands do. Are the enteries perfect? Hell no. Due to its sandbox design, anyone can edit the page. But usually most of the important stuff is right. One of the best features is a timeline that shows you all the members who have ever been in the band, what instruments they played, and the years they were/are active. This w

​@RetroToMetroReactions this one. And the 20 minute trilogy, Pain Remains. They aren't mainstream in the sense of having softer songs for the radio, just in the sense of "people not really in the scene know who they are."

I agree. With most of these types of "singers" I can barely understand what the hell they are saying. It's just a noise. So generally not my thing either.

It would probably floor you that he’s an incredibly talented clean singer too. Will has his own KZbin channel and he does covers of some popular artist. His tone is beautiful. He’s also very good friends with an opera singer whose channel is called The Charamatic Voice and she has her own reactions. She was so fascinanted by the crazy noises he was making in this video that she had him come to Utah to be professionally studied and the researchers were dumbfounded! They brought him back recently for more in depth studies, including sticking needles in his neck!

Also, the true vocal talent on show here is will's ability to go from shriek and whistle pitch to deep gutteral roars and growls and do it consistently live.

Its like listening to a foreign language. The more you listen to this kind of music the more your ears will learn to pick up on it. Now Will Ramos' vocals are even on the extreme side of this extreme Metal but for many screamer vocalists you do learn to hear what they're saying. Its not just noise.
