Great review brother! Glad to see Dynasty Warriors is truly Back! Let's hope they iterate/take the formula of this game and go FULL ON with Dynasty Warriors 10/Samurai Warriors 6/Warriors Orochi 5 and other Warriors titles. Taking what worked in this game, and what didn't and improve upon it.

This game's combat is what i wanted Wukong to play like, especially the bosses getting staggered and juggled in the air is so cool I'm so tired of every action game getting infected by soulslike design, the all powerful monkey king deserved something faster paced like this

It definitely does feel like this could be easily followed up with a sequel or lead into Dynasty Warriors 10. While it seems different, I appreciate that they did try something different and was executed pretty decently. I definitely can't wait to get my hands on it!

Im convinced the guys at for honor and the guys at assassins creed, need to partner with Koei to make the ultimate dynasty warriors game, one that brings the fighting down to a realistic, 2 or 3 enemy hits at a time, while having some of the deeper fighting mechanics of for honor, with the scar of dynasty warriors. A game where you have to be tactical.

How Ubisoft made Outlaws and not a Jedi / Sith game using For Honors combat system is beyond me. You can make it single player RPG and balance the combat system around that and print money. Wasted opportunity.

Crazy battle video game where we can satisfied our stress relief.. hehe. God of War is one of those that I like most. Three Kingdoms, Water Margin, and Journey to the West. Man.. those are top three Ancient China literature that build around my childhood memory, alongside with many2 other literature such as Lord of the Rings. Water Margin being my favorite because Suikoden is based on it. Big disappointment is the main character looks like. Feels like that The Third Age game from LOTR series, where the main character is not actually supposed to be on the story. 😄👍

Great review, Kali! As someone who has mostly played Hyrule Warriors and Fire Emblem Warriors, I’m glad to hear that this is a fantastic game. I’ve never played a true Dynasty Warriors game before, but this might be my first one to try.

Great review Kali! I do have to admit, a JRPG Dynasty Warriors *does* sound pretty appealing 👀 The lack of any kind of index or detailed lore page really does seem like an oversight. Part of the appeal of these games *is* the history behind all the events and characters. Hopefully they take some of this feedback to heart for the next one. Congrats on getting to review this game early! You're rising up the ranks yourself 😂

I can already tell my friends were already planning on buying this game for day one because we were starved for good dynasty Warriors content after the piece of s*** that was dynasty Warriors 9 and dynasty Warriors 9 empires. And I can definitely see that this game is a mixed bag because while it does harken back to the old games in the series, it unfortunately does kind of hearken back to that but more so that the AI is stupid again and even more so since there's a lot of enemies on screen, It feels like a extreme legend's expansion despite them never doing that after 8 on top of no gallery mode and lastly you're telling me that we got all these cool redesigns of the characters but we can't use them for long-term battles? I mean come on when I found out that my girl Sun XiangLiang was back and still was fun to play as, I was hyped until I realized that we play as the nameless wanderer way more often than we do any of the other characters from the previous games. That is definitely a huge let down on top of not being albe to play any multiplayer. But Dynasty Warriors fans were gonna be eating this up regardless since they've been starving for better content since 9 as I said before and I can safely say that the game plays a lot better than 9 and the VA work is of DW quality again it is better then 9. Here's hoping that we get an actual dynasty Warriors 10 where we get to play as these new versions of the characters but until Then it is good to at least have something decent back in the Dynasty Warriors license. Great job with the review and...... Now we have to do the same thing for samurai warriors, 5 was that series low point lol.

The character models are so gorgeous, Omega force seem to have made a great game, our main character reminds me of Wo Long plot. 10:55 pretty valid, it needs a free run option. My main issue is that the game is really expensive. Also I think you should have different weapons, I miss the threads, the chain and whip even the iron flut had nice combos, and the war fan.

Deluxe edition feels like a waste of money for what you get tbh. Its just music amd early access really. Beat chapter 1 so far and was enjoying it. I still do miss playing as the legacy characters. Some of the pronunciation is off i feel. I dont understand why the wanderer is silent but in game he will say like i defeated am officer. Need more customization for him. Im surprised tho how much im enjoying it so far even tho im playing as one character pretty much. I still think 3-5 is better though. I totally agree with it being a tease we have legacy characters in front of us that we always could play and now cant 😂. Good review, id go 7.5/10

Thanks for the review Kali I haven't really dived into a DW game since like 5 or 6, As a kid I played all the ones beforehand thanks to my brothers and I would play them for hours and hours lol, then they kinda changed the controls and gameplay a bit too much in later titles and I lost interest, plus it became a little too anime lol

Yes I actually do! I truly think it could work! Of course not sacrificing the main titles, but sort of like the Yakuza series is now a JrPG series. There is some small chance it could happen
