This was my experience on the hardest difficulty i couldnt get to the locations quickly enough. Medium difficulty was doable, but still felt like I was being rushed about. I may play through the game on the easiest setting just to be able to take in the battlefields a bit. This is the best DW has ever looked. And combat is actually quite fun.

I see people complaining about the game being hard, and I find that weird. They give you all the tools, you have a cinematic Dodge that can get away from borderline anything and can parry attacks, you guys just suck at playing video games lol

Am I gonna miss having the named characters under my control, sure. How can one not? But the essence of the series is there in what is literally a spin off title. Tons of the gameplay features feel good, fresh and on the right track to bring DW to the modern era. It gets me hyped for what 10 or DW Reboot (AKA 1 or 2) will bring to the table. Based on the demo and the multiple paths you can take journeying the kingdoms, I'm all in. Day 1 buy for me.

Yes sir! I'm definitely looking forward to Dynasty Warriors: Origins for PS5. Only one more week to go now. The story sounds like one of the best in a while. Although it's been done before, I like the idea of a nameless protagonist with amnesia and the morale boost mechanic. The action and cutscenes look as sharp as ever. I have some time this weekend, so I might check out the demo. As good as the Deluxe Edition sounds, I think I'll stick with the Standard Edition as due to my work and personal life, I won't have time to play it during the three day period before it's official release.

There is mechanic to temporarily swap to your companion, but this game hasn't been anything other than a bunch of swappable movesets in years. Character has 10 weapons confirmed via marketing, plus whatever secret unnannounced companion's weapons (likely Lu Bu) amd hopefully the movesets belonging to generics.

I'd say more like The closet you get to the "main" objective (Let's say attacking Hu Lao Gate) the more it feels like every soldier is their to defend the gate.

Has anyone else noticed that games that implement 1. A sprint/Toggle for Sprint and 2. A Jump/button for Jump, games that do that tend to have a longer life expectancy than games that you are glued to the ground in, like people will go back to the games you can jump/sprint in for years, so when you dont implement those things eventually the game dies off, so my only qualm with Dynasty/Samurai Warriors moving forward is that they havent implemented a sprint/sprint toggle yet and i hope they consider it moving forward because a mount is not a good alternative for sprinting, yes a mount is a bonus but people dont want to have to mount up every two seconds, had to make this clear because i always get that low lQ "But thats what the mount is for" comment 😂

you can sprint by holding dodge. and i don't necessarily think that's a rule. jumping usually adds another dimension to gameplay (z-axis) which allows for the game to have more, leading to longer lifespan for the games.
