2NE1 is the first group to introduce girl crush concept when they debuted every song they did was a hit topped the chart and actually they won song of the year MAMA award the same year they debuted which was huge. Maybe in the future you will decide to jump into 2NE1 discography.

I was gonna say they probably had to cut costs by reusing the visuals from each "come baby baby" section. But even so the mv still holds up incredibly well to todays standards and its still one of my fav mvs

NO ONE, literally NO ONE still can pull of this FUTURISTIC FUTURE cyber concept like 2NE1 did. It's not happening and this is one of the best KPOP songs ever happen in history. Never realized how much of variety this song has. It starts off with a reggae beat then it transitions into a bubbly pop chorus then it does a complete 180 and transitions into a catchy-booming trap beat. The versatility is insane

It's ok if this song was not for you. This was very experimental at the time it was released . To fully appreciate 2NE1 songs, you need to watch their live performances. Come Back Home also has an acoustic ballad version which I also recommend watching the live performance version than just listening or watching the lyric videos. There is a reason why they are crowned as live performance queens for a reason. See for yourself. Thanks for the person who requested it🥰

2NE1 is the blueprint of girl crush concept in kpop. The mother of BLACKPINK. Both 2NE1 and BIGBANG are the top notchers in when it comes to stage performances and stage presence. They are still the best girl group in kpop today but it was just cut short. Their disbandment happened at the peak of their success.

When the song came out it was mindblowing both visually and sonically for me (definitely not sth that was done a lot in kpop at the time)... A few years back I stumbled on the acoustic live version which doesn't have the drop.. I have to admit that the drop missing contributed hugely to me starting listening to the song again, also their vocals live are more clearly individually cool

Watch the live please. I recommend the acoustic live too. I think the weird part is sort of them illegally taping into the virtual world. You can only transmit so much over...so the basic message was repeated, but images slightly altered with more of what they couldn't say...like the 2nd one had Minzy doing a "come to me" wave. Vocally it was almost like the ripple that comes from a dream being tampered with..or zoning out and someone bringing you back to reality.

Honestly, i prefer the acoustic version. As a new kpop fan, i have a problem with old 2ne1 and Bigbang songs... i could like the melody but the instrumental seems so outdated with the synth for me that i can't completely like the song.

Because I..like many older fans...we always waited for and mass watched live performances more than we thought of listening to the official audio. Lives are what make 2NE1, 2NE1 for us. It's almost like you actually miss the entire experience with the original audio in comparison. I believe..even in solo work... the special part of 2NE1s music is that it sounds like soundtracks for film/video games/cfs in it's audio(and they looked it too in mvs..Minzy from debut on...always looked like a video game character to me and I'm disappointed they didn't use that..like 2NE1 Dance Central characters..when IATB was on the game..Fire Era Minzy and Glitch..come on YG) , but also like it's meant to be performed in concert/festivals with live bands. Which is very fitting. They always sang live and performed insanely, but when they added the live band..? It was over. I always believe they ended when they were entering into a whole new era with how they were going to sound. Something that blended a bit better, but was even more experimental and blended because their personal opinions were being added and utilized even more than before. Just...Crush was the softer..2NE1 emotional/bouncy energy version of what was coming. It Hurts/Lonely/Stay Together types of songs. We didn't actually get the experimental 2NE1. Crush did what it was supposed to as the recent TTFM/IATB. Come Back Home had to represent both them and Seo Taeji. Scream already existed in Japanese But...hopefully..they find it in them to bring out what they wanted to bring out back then, sometime in the future. Being with eachother like they had a schedule and then actually getting ready and performing together really boosted something within all of them. Like it eased something that held them each back in some way. That was only a few days of prep. Imagine what them really getting to spend some time with each other again will do.

CL's rap is from the unplugged version of the song which is acoustic, and they just integrated it in the mv. I think you'll prefer the unplugged version. This song definitely grew on me after watching them sing it live. Anyway, thank you for reacting to 2NE1
