I tried to like Mortal Shell. It didn't want me to like it. Picking up items without knowing what they do, running around as who-knows-what, and just being a "sword guy" got old. I loved the original Dark Souls. Mortal Shell lacks the character creation or class system. It made me not care about the character. I also got dizzy when he went through tunnels or did other blur motion. Luckily, I was able to contact Xbox Support and got a refund. Used the money to get Dark Souls 3 on sale. Best decision for those who have never played DS3 and are on the fence about Mortal Shell.
