XD One of the things I appreciated most about Strikers is that, once the tutorial is over, they fully trust the player with the battle system and give you a whole-ass party of 8 to play with right out of the gate, with all their basic combos unlocked already. None of this Hyrule Warriors BS of slowly unlocking characters, and needing to slooooowly unlock core moves in their combos. Nope, you straight up get the complete characters from the word go, with the only unlockables being 4 game-changing upgrades that refine their strengths to a sharp edge, and new spells. That was REALLY refreshing.

Well they did reference each other at least. Like a Dragon snuck a couple songs in as CDs you can listen to at the bar, while Makoto talks about wanting to see "Dragon: Like a Yakuza." Plus they do visit a good a chunk of locations used in the series, like Sapporo, Okinawa, Osaka, and Yokohama. I mean, yeah they are notable tourist attractions, but with Sega owning both companies it's definitely not an unreasonable stretch to assume the people making it were aware of the connection at least.

@@Texelion3Dprints actually I think it would be pretty badass if they did something with tattoos. This extends to Persona in general. I guess the in game explanation would be something along the lines of shedding "labels" society puts on them. Also everyone knows Kiryu's persona would be Kazama, while Majima's would be that mysterious yet somehow familiar Hannya-Man.

Bought DW 9 week ago, so far is the most accurate story telling of all warriors, no one has clunky combat or goofy weapons So far the only thing I disliked is the bad optimization. So why everyone dogpiles over the game again? Because all the problems I read was either personal or past problems that are fixed already

@@dougfax for me it’s: the lackluster voices in English and the weird new gameplay that simulated open-world. The game itself isn’t terrible, but compared to, say, DW8,7,5, or the Xtreme legends versions of those, it just...is lackluster.

Ironically, when I began playing Persona 5 Royal, I got disappointed that it didn't have the same battle system as FF7. Then when I started playing P5 Strikers, I got disappointed that it didn't have the same battle system as Persona 5 Royal.

Actually i find it to be somewhat true. Not that battle system is Persona games is bad, but there always people that prefer real time action than turn based. And they did pretty well on mixing musou-style battle system and P5's battle system, it felt really great. I already beat Strikers, currently in New Game+ with only 1 achievement left for Platinum.

@@WullNar I'm in the minority that prefers turned based combat. Persona 5 Royal is as good as turned based combat gets. I enjoy Strikers but I'm still reminded that I'm playing a Warriors game. I enjoy Warriors games but nothing replaces turn based for me.

As a matter of fact, no! Strikers was made at the same time as Royal, so it's a direct sequel to the vanilla game. No Royal spoilers whatsoever.
