Hyperarmor, fast softfeints, stunning attacks, dodge guardbreak (thank god they removed it), etc This makes him able to matchup with every type of player. Aggressive orochi ? Just hyperarmor through it. Defensive Shugoki ?, spam the shit out of him. Parry god ? Softfeint and flashbang him. Raider is too strong and makes nearly perfect.

This might sound harsh, but the best way to counter guardbreak is to react to it. Try setting the training dummy to a guardbreak and a light attack to practice reacting to it

Except for the following Conquerer Zerker (on console) Highlander Warden In those 4 cases open up the pause menu and immediately seek out the icon that reads “return to main menu” click on it with much haste or the sight of your soulless character getting beaten to a pulp with a heaping spoonful of balance may drive you to suicide. In conclusion just don’t play the game as there’s a 99.736% chance you will find those characters every game.

A light attack beats the kick into grab almost every time. Light when you see a kick and you'll most likely catch him in the middle of the soft feint. The normal kick can still beat your light attack though so only use that if they rely on that soft feint allot.

8:40 Nobushi's dodge attacks do dodge if you time it right. The dodge ends as soon as you input attack so you have to time the dodge closely, then press attack after you are out of the way but still dodging. It helps to say "dodge attack" out loud to practice the right timing lol

Aramusha- His running attacks can be feinted. Another option for opening, especially the overhead because of range. Warden - Running overhead is your best friend. Feint second overhead heavy with anything. Repeat. Feint bash and occasionally hit em with the chop chop or zone. Running overhead tends to ignore plyrs who run as well.

Joel Hernandez he means compared to all the other heros not as In he's necessarily a bad char but his kit can not compare to anyone elses you have to so much work with him it's rediculous compared to anyone else. I mained Raider for 3 months and hopped on kensei season 1 or 2 felt like a God hopped on Oroachi barely got touched Berserk takes skill but at least they have hype armor I literally thought I had hacks active with Valk. Pick up any other char after playing nothing but raider for a month or 2 and I guarantee you won't even have to try 1/4 as hard

Joel Hernandez I strongly believe next reworks are gonna be Raider and Shugoki. Raider is a Vanguard, meaning it’s probably easier for Ubi to rework his kit than Lawdude’s (as it is supposed to be straight forward and simple yet effective). He’s also the last Vanguard left to rework, so they might as well want to get rid off that already. Besides, Lawbro has a bigger kit and his parry punishes are much better, and he actually ranks higher on Duels. He will probably get it in Marching Fire all along with the rest of the unreworked OG cast. Both Raider and Goki have received pretty serious nerfs recently, which reminds me of how they nerfed Conq right before turning him into Bashy McSpamsalot. They may be setting the grounds for near future buffs or reworks. And lastly, Knights have received two reworks in a row (PK and Warden). The thing about ninja is that you could double light attack, or you could do a heavy jump that is a clear miss to bait the enemy into a punish, flip back and then range grab. Also range grab into heavy always and apply poison if can.

Just wanna say something. You are correct with the fact that nobushi's dodge attacks do not dodge damage, however they can be delayed so that you dodge before attacking. It's difficult to time tho

An idea I came up with that at least I don’t think anyone else came up with was if you are a Kensei you can start a battle running to your opponent and doing a left doge and a heavy attack to get ahead on the fight. I do this because no one expects a kensei to be fast.

Valkyrie two side lights and a guard break sweep is incredibly powerful. Mixed with back step all guard into a shield charge throws off a lot of combos for the enemy if you time them right. I main Valkyrie and spamming the trip is simple and very easy after two light attacks. Majority of the time the enemy will backwards dodge roll and waste stamina to get out of the sweep, then you follow up with top light because it has a lunge and you can punish most the time by chasing the enemy with it.

Raider has 3 very special perks however Raider moves like a room\castle in chess. Raider is very 2 dimensional and relies only on a few mixups and stamina drain. Raider is so fun but as a raider main i feel that raider sucks.
