Pirate goes in “die” tier for me. Unlimited, endless unblockables that have GB invulnerability and cannot be dodge attacked or GB’d on whiff. Truly a broken mechanic. Gunshot interrupt is also incredibly OP

Her animations on her unblockables are really bad though, allowing you to tell if they are actually coming at you or not. Easy parries. Takes some time to be able to see reliably but once you see it you wont be able to unsee it.

As a recent glad main that deflects and uses the combos and guard throw combos and mix up I was so happy someone understands how strong he is, he def can be countered by dodges that are superior to the stab or hyper but other than that it’s pretty nice, a stamina punish too that’s a guaranteed skewer THAT CAN GO INTO A FREE TRHOW it’s so good if anyone needs tips lmk

Sohei main here, hes technical and difficult we all agree. his 95 damage is useless if your against a good opponent but otherwise just play defense and go for parrys and take your time. not gonna give away any more secrets lol

Hi Real! Love your content! Do you have any advice fighting shugokis? I am really siriously struggling. Like is there a visual cue to parry the heavies? (except playing dodge bash characters). Also, would love to fight agaisnt you sometime! (I love fighting comp players for fun as a casual-non reactor). I am definitely losing lol but hey why not. Thanks bro. It’s honestly hard to fight shugoki simply because he’s so safe. It kinda depends on ur hero pick but I like using heroes that have dodge recoveries so I can dodge attack the head butt then dodge their chain heavy. There is a slight visual cue on his heavies but it’s a little tricky to react to. But like I said try heroes with dodge recoveries that should help a bit

I would argue that lander would be S in the correct hands, as with the offensive light bug, and there are certain things you can do with the kick that forces a reaction 90% of the time for a free gb, ontop of being able to zone in the middle of UB's and make them bounce their feint gb which gives you a gb for FREE, ontop of getting a offensive light after that which they cant dodge due to heavy hitstun, so a gb that gives 24 damage from heavy and basically 9 damage for free after, character is good only in the right hands, I wouldnt even put him A tier tbh unless hes in the right hands of a handful of players, but I would put him borderline S tier or in S tier personally for me, but of course certain characters curb stomp him, but he curb stops the meta chars in duels, kinda wild character, he even curb stops shaman in her current state, also am in my opinion I still think orochi is just a bottom tier garbage duelist idk what it is about him, but he does like no damage, only threat is his kick as you can diff the storm rush super easily so you dont even need to dodge, and then you can also just dodge on his forward movement, most characters can curb stop orochi as well but thats my opinion, bomb tier list

I think zerk is at least A, because high level players don't allow you to punish consistently and have the iniciative all the time. "Pro players" always pick roach, zerk, hito or shugo when they lose, that's fact at least here in Brazil (another server). I honestly prefer to fight roach than zerk, because roach I can consistently punish.

BP just doesn't have much offense and is only really good with reactards imo, I think Zhanhu is definitely better just with the dodge recoveries for deflects compared to BP flips which can't be used after bash unlike Zhanhu dodge recoveries

conq is absolute dog in so many interactions. He has ZERO openers other than his chargable unblockable, but thats it. Just a neutral unblockable which if people can read they just start their combo's and punish you.

gladiator in die teir when he has ZERO unreactable attacks, ZERO guarenteed attacks, ZERO stamina bashes, and ONE damage bash that does like 4 damage is insane. and if anyone says that his punches do stamina damage, IT COSTS MORE STAMINA FOR ME TO PUNCH YOU THAN IT DOES TAKE AWAY YOUR STAMINA, even the parry punish punch does like 2 stamina damage it sucks. the only good thing about gladiator rn is his parry tech with the impale, but tech doesnt count for characters cuz its cringe and not supposed to be part of them.

i agree no enhanced lights, no undodgeable, just an all round unique kit. maybe the fact that his parry bash stuns is annoying or his punishes do a shit ton of damage but even then his whole kit is react-able anyway. surely not enough to put him with HITOKIRI and VARANGIAN GUARD. who knows tho im not a pro player i find shugoki bp and the entire outlander faction more obnoxious
