Yes for the balm. It seems more of a butter. I switched to the beard wax and love that way better.

On the company's website, it does say that the Beard Balm is meant for conditioning the facial hair, and the Beard Wax is used for styling/holding. The "wording" appears to be different with this company in comparison to other beard care companies.
