I got offered a Mtech seat at IITB but the situation there is the worst. A room meant for single person is being shared by two people. I have been disillusioned by IITs now. I rejected the offer. Luckily I have the financial capabilities to go abroad and study. Its alarming that the goverment doesnt want to treat the institues which made them world famous better. No wonder people leave India. Worst thing is the students absolutely dont mind that. Like WHERE ARE THE STANDARDS? If India's best university has such facilities what can an average person expect.

@@utsav6616 Its such a shame, most iit's have really bad looking hostel rooms, it feels like you've wasted 4 years to live another 4 years somewhere like that. Adding to what someone says, these are glorified jail cells. Boys cant go to girl hostels... Girls cant go to boys... So many restrictions and for what? A degree? iit, nit and iiit are all the same in terms of teaching style, facilities and pretty much everything but the reason people pick iit is due to the heavy competition and it being ranked by the government itself, students just follow government/
