Georgia, what a special place. Spent most of 2022 there. With batumi being the start of my stay. 2 solid months in the city and I can say it exceeded all expectations by far. Some special charms that you get used too definitely! Cheers to Sakartvelo 🇬🇪

I love Batumi. I spent a month there in October 2022 staying in one of the Orbi City Airbnbs. I’m going to come back this year. Such an underrated destination with the friendliest people.

@@sheilafarias6335 from what I could tell, it was very safe. Met many walking alone, at the club, on the beach etc. I was staying by Orbi City Building C so that area was (or at the least seemed) very safe.

​@@IQmatesJust came back 2 weeks ago, i'm already depressed and i already miss it dearly 😂, stayed there only 9 days, going to make it a month in about 4 months haha, i was in Orbi city too, block A, only annoying part was the crowded elevators( 38th floor) So far the greatest country i've ever been in, Love Georgia!

Batumi residents are quite often unfriendly and hostile to foreigners unlike in the rest of Georgia. The city is charming, but many locals resent your presence.

I found that the movers and shakers in Batumi - the people who drove the GDP there were mainly Turkish. It's really not a typical Georgian city.

Batumi is on peak now, compared to 15years, still coming many new projects without much analysis. Once I come to Georgia the airport was welcoming by vine bottle, now with property adds 😢

As an Australian tourist in Batumi for a week or so. There is so much to see and do. The negative is how unfriendly the Georgian people are. Shop assistants rarely thank you never the less acknowledge you. They are really creepy zombies. It is a pity they spoil the experience.

After 10 times of that experience you just start to act the same way as a customer and won't take notice as much, but I fully understand the feeling. Several of my memories are marred with the same impression as you. I'm from Norway and we have kinda crap service at e.g. supermarkets, but at restaurants we generally smiles and attentiveness.

I didn’t like the messy neighbourhood with constructions. But moved around a bit and between new and old Batumi really enjoyed it 🙏🏻

Yes, there are good things about every place, but I didn't like Batumi. Mostly because it was very unsafe - drivers were crazy and I wondered if I would be run over by a car. A woman was afraid to cross the road with her baby for fear of being killed. So...yes, the sea is beautiful and city has nice construction going on, but the lack of rules in Georgia is unsettling. Also it seemed very difficult to find good quality meat at the grocery there. Chicken was already spoiled when I bought it. Also, do not shoo away Georgian dogs or strays if they are aggressive. People will scold and yell at you.
