Thank you for sharing this! I lost my dad in the beginning of 2020 and it was a really tough year emotionally, but I was also blessed in so many ways. I got legally married at the end of 2020 and I’m less than two weeks away from the wedding of my dreams! People kept asking me if I was upset that I had to push my wedding, and while it was frustrating, I kept thinking in the back of my head that there are worse things that could happen. I’m here celebrating with you and supporting you when you’re going through tough times!! On a side note, if you ever wrote a book, I would read it! You have so much clarity in the way you think and speak, it’s clear you’re wise beyond your years.

Loved this update Kat. So glad your dad is on the road to recovery and that the time y’all have been spending together has strengthened the relationship. When you were talking about the social media break, it is definitely necessary sometimes. If I feel myself getting down about what others have or what I seem to be lacking, I try to remind myself that I’m too blessed to be stressed and too grateful to be hateful. This video really helped me out a lot. Because I'm kind of a hermit and I don't let too many people in and as I get older I'm trying to let go of all of my regrets because that's not the type of weight I want to be carrying around. It's good to hear that your father is getting better I lost my dad 15 years ago, and it just literally broke my heart because I'm a daddy's girl and now I wouldn't be anybody's little girl ever again. However the silver lining was that it forced me to grow closer to my mother, she and I have had a strained relationship for quite some time. But we forgave each other and now we're in each other's life the way I had always dreamed of. I love when you open up and share because I see that if you can be that forthcoming to those of us who have been following you for quite some time that I really could open up and allow myself to be just as vulnerable. What I really miss are your makeup videos I love that I can go back and watch those because it really helps me out I'm not really great but I draw inspiration from watching those videos.

Actually, social media breaks have done wonders for my mental health. I also got married in private and after 1yr and a baby, we are still deciding whether or not we will have a ceremony--but we are in the homebuying process right now so no rush .
