Great thoughts and insight bro. Totally get the feeling of needing to be around the like-minded people. What’s the plan to rectify that for now? Where to next. Lol at the loud bikes at then end and the “Bali betton” 🤣. Gotta love Asia bro. 😃

Rhett and Claire, if you guys stuck in Bali island cause no vaccine, you maybe need to use travel bus to surabaya then continue to jakarta also by bus, as I know it's not really needed vaccine certivicate if you travel by bus, just one option vaccine or antigen swab, if you have one of it, you can go but not by plane or train, only for bus.

Dany, if you Dare just ride motorcyle to the south and south bandung about 3-4 hours from the city center you'll found the beaches, on the way there's a lot of areas and things that you might never imagine before.. it has two route option to get to the beach from Bandung, Ciwidey or Pangalengan, wherever, it's an incredible sightseeing especially in the morning. Beaches name is Rancabuaya, Santolo, sayangheulang and so many others.

@epinhervin93552 жыл бұрын
Agree with you. Theme park and expensive entrance ticket place in Bandung is boring. Next time you should try taking a trip by local train from Bandung to Padalarang only Rp 5000 (now $1 = Rp 15.000 so it's 1/3 a dollar hahaha). In Padalarang you will see lot of nature thing. Most famous are stone garden but my highly recomendation you can go to Sasaksaat, the longest active train tunnel in Indonesia by angkot (car public transportation) from Stasiun Padalarang to there about Rp 7.000. You will feel awesome joging around the station in the middle of the jungle. Or you can also try another local train Cibatuan from Garut to Purwakarta, but it only once a day and it arrive in Stasiun Bandung at noon about 14:21 PM. Ahh forgot to tell that around Jalan Braga actually at Jalan Asia Afrika, the first female pilot Amelia Earhart was stayed at Grand Preanger hotel before she continued her joourney and never go back. Also Charlie Caplin was stayed at Savoy Homan hotel at the same area in 1930something I forgot

Bandung may not be familiar to many westerners, but is a favourite destination for millions of Malaysians and Singaporeans each year (before the covid pandemic anyway), not to mention throngs of weekenders from Jakarta. That's the reason for the many hotels, cafes and fashion outlets there.
@alexlee27653 жыл бұрын
I'm from Malaysia & have been to Bandung a few times mostly out of curiosity to explore new Indonesian destinations and outlet shopping for new clothes. Singaporeans & Malaysians go to Bandung mostly for the same reason I mentioned, and especially for Muslim travellers, it's easy for them to enjoy halal food everywhere. It's however not a favorite destination compared to Bali which offers one of the best holiday options in South East Asia, for good reasons. The unique, centuries-old Hindu culture you can see everywhere, the easy access to scenic spots (e.g. compared to getting to Bromo via Surabaya), the crazy variety of food from all over the world & Indonesia (esp. in Kerobokan & Denpasar) and unbelievable range & style of accommodation, cafes, restaurants & shops. There is always a new area / scenic spot / cool hotel to explore. I have been to Bali more than 50 times since 2008 and I hope to keep going once the border is open. Bali is definitely a "Kebangaan Indonesia & Asean" !
@muhd71443 жыл бұрын
@@alexlee2765 According to Indonesian Tourism Ministry West Java (Bandung), Yogyakarta and Jakarta were the favourite destinations for Malaysian tourists in 2018. You may search the Internet for the relevant information - I tried to give the weblinks but deleted by KZbin.

@@muhd7144 Mas, when Jakarta is included in statistics, the number of 'visitors' is high because many executives travel between KL, Singapore and Jakarta simply for work. When I worked in Singapore as an agent for business travellers, many of our customers flew in the morning to Jakarta to beat the traffic and return in the evening after rush hours. Here, you'd hardly hear SG or KL people going to Jakarta for holidays; they heard it was a messy and unsafe city. I did visit JKT twice out of curiosity and found it not as bad as expected. Yogja is good for a visit or two, people don't go to the famous temples and royal palace many times. All I was saying many Indonesians keep asking in youtube comments why Bule or foreign tourists don't visit other places than Bali, because these places don't offer what I mentioned earlier. Even those who have visited a few places like me (JKT, Malang, SUB, BDG, Lombok, Medan, Toba, Yogja, Bromo), we are in no hurry to revisit these places.
@muhd71443 жыл бұрын
@@alexlee2765 I am Malaysian Malay and worked in tourism (specialising in Indonesian tours) before the pandemic. Some 2 million Malaysians visited Indonesia yearly, most of them Malays. And most of those Malays visited those three places (West Java, Yogyakarta and Jakarta) for various reasons. Among the reasons are : family connections (many Malays who are Muslims have family connections in Java and Sumatra but not in Bali which is predominantly Hindu), to shop for Raya and wedding clothes (cheaper more variety than in Malaysia), culinary experience (diverse variety of halal foods), education (several thousands Malaysian Malays choose to study in Indonesia each year including in their Islamic religious institutions)....
