Thanks for the review - don’t beat yourself up about the options you didn’t pick. I’ve a Turbo Macan EV in paint to sample riviera blue on order (with 22” RS spider wheels, gloss black exterior trim, extended leather with blue stitch etc etc)… should arrive end of November- I’ll do a video of that, just for others to see the spec etc. Enjoy your Macan 😊

It is definitely a must to see what different configurations look like at the dealer before speccing your own car. We specced our Q6 in August and initially we didn't opt for a pan sunroof, then drove one with one and then specced it. Also had cloth seats standard then saw one with leather seat and specced that.

Thank you for the nice review. We recently traded a Taycan with black standard seats for a new Taycan with extended leather in black/chaulk. The non-leather black is the most forgiving of the standard colors and it still looks good IMO. I notice that you don't have ventilated seats. That is a must have for me (not on our earlier Taycan) and I now enjoy them every day. My local dealer has a jet black/ black leather with spyder wheels on display. I must say, you have the hottest color combo I've liked and subscribed..

One of the things I like about Porche is you can choose what you want and not have to buy a package. I tried speccing a Q6 etron and to get what were essentails for me I had to hae lots of things I hate (large wheels and sun roof for eaxample) and it ended up £20 K more than Macan 4

@@johnwheeldon7564 yeah, i think a lot of ppl don't know this. Every macan you see in these "review" videos, will different than the next. And the Macan's sent to the dealerships to show, are optioned with the strangest things. so ppl are best off ordering their own

You can add power steer plus at the dealership . It’s a software change the dealer can get from Porsche. Cost is around $300. Why was your salesman not there on the front end to avoid mistakes?

What model year was your Model Y and how does ride quality in normal mode on rougher roads compare to the Model Y?

We've got a video of the Model Y review - its a 2022 Long Range. The ride quality of the Macan is so much better than the Tesla in every way. We found the Tesla too firm and unforgiving a lot of the time.

Agree with everything besides the air suspension. Have had 3 macans, 2x without and 1x with and not only was there minimal ride comfort difference but it was plagued with issues which required continuous warranty jobs

This is so similar to spec I've ordered. Jet black metallic with 22inch spyder. I've ordered the odd road front splitter to cover that plastic splitter.

Thanks for the review and comments on options. If you have used the car in the rain please advise if you regret not having the rear wiper? It looks much better without and Tesla's don't have them so wondered in the Macan's aerodynamics make it unnecessary or still a must have if you live in a wet climate?

Its been raining a lot the last couple of days and I haven't noticed any issue not having the rear wiper. Visibility is not great our the back in general though. What's more annoying is the reversing camera getting dirty - why is it not hidden in a little flap when driving to keep it clean?

I have Racetex...whilst it looks and feels great, it's a pain the @rse and you need to keep on top of it or it gets really sticky and horrible to touch if you don't. My only regret speccing my Taycan.

Aritificial leather is more durable. I specced my Macan with thermal/acoustic glass all around and it is not available with a rear wiper.

Hi. General rule I would say if it's a base Porsche model, standard leather and no sports chronos is fine. Now once you get to GTS or higher trims, most people will avoid buying second hand if it's missing extended leather and sports chronos package. But that is a problem for the dealer selling the car. I wouldn't worry about it at this point. Just enjoy what you have! I am waiting to trade my turbo for a Macan 4S in 2 years timeframe unless the turbo variant used is low enough then I would get that instead. I look forward to seeing more videos on the Macan EV as you're right, it's difficult to see computer photo to reality.

I enjoyed your review but it's pretty silly to say to model Y handle is dangerous lol. The model Y handles like it's on rails for any reasonable street situation especially the more recent versions since they upgraded the suspension.

The Model Y is planted until you push it a bit. You can feel the weight making it understeer and braking is not that good

After owning several Porsche Cayenne’s, Macan’s, and 911’s, I’m done with the rip-off! The last straw is the optional extra for the rear passenger side airbags….. I’ve moved on to the New Range Rover Sport….. everything included and much more prestigious product. Bye bye Porsche…..

Air suspension is the biggest warranty headache of any component on any car ever. It’s a serious cost once out of warranty. Especially on a Porsche.

He prefers the £3850 option of 22 inch spyder wheels. 😂 the £1250 leather seated or you get shit cloth. The pan roof is £1100 but increases road noise to fuck. £1100 for an extra screen for passenger. It’s irrelevant what you think it’s going to be worth when you sell it. Because it will be worthless like the taycan.
