Yes, H&M sizing for kids is so frustrating! My almost 3 year old wears 2-3T tops but 18-24m bottoms! I would go with the cutesy hat with the ears. She’s going to be this little for only a short while, the beanie is giving big kid vibes

I very much like the shorter hair. Our apple picking got rained out last weekend, so we might have to try again before the end of the season, which is some time in November here. Having grown up in New England, I am used to apple picking on cool days and drinking warm apple cider in the orchard.

The mental load of the wardrobe challenge really resonated with me! It takes a lot of thought and planning to make sure they have what they need and then the guilt that comes along with it if they only wear something once before they outgrow it! And you're right, no one talks about it! 🤔 I do love clothing shopping for them though so that helps! Haha!

@@Matt_Acuna well, I’m in the queer community, and it’s openly accepted everywhere I go. No one has made me feel unsafe, I think things are shifting in many parts of Tennessee, thankfully. Also, zero income tax is pretty incredible. The nature reminds me of Oregon and Washington in so many ways. I was born and raised in Oregon, and have family in Washington. It’s definitely different, but there is such a love and value of family here. The climate is fantastic for growing plants, too! It’s subtropical, and has summer rain, so that’s definitely an improvement from the xeric moisture regime we had out West. I’m a soil scientist and my husband is a horticulturist, so it’s pretty high on our list.

Yes, part of me loves shopping for kids clothes bc they are adorable and well, I just love clothes lol… but it’s constant keeping up sizes and being ready for seasons etc. I’ve come to realize that things can be both fun and a lot at the same time 🙂

My mind is always blown when you mention that h&m runs big. I guess us Norden Europeans are just tall, because I always find it's the only ones that is true to size or even a bit small sometimes 😅 everything else I have to size up. But h&m is also Swedish so I guess it makes sense it matches our growth curves here 😁

The clothes thing got me good! We currently have 3 with one more on the way and my first 2 were larger than their age by size (when they were 3-6 months, they were wearing 6-9 or 9-12). Then my youngest has actually been true to the appropriate size (currently 9-12 months and wearing 9-12 month clothes). Even now, I have a 3 year old wearing 4T-5T and an almost 2 year old wearing 3T-4T. Trying to keep up has been almost impossible for me since my first was born. Once they start to level out for more than a couple months, it definitely helps but being at least one size larger than their age makes it tougher to keep up with still. 😂 Hopefully it’ll get easier at some point! Ha!

Colorado is just as expensive honestly and pays less. We moved there from AZ and just moved back to AZ last year. But the economy right now everywhere is terrible. AZ is okay but gas is ridiculous because everything is so spread out
