I don't think they are underrated. They are quite popular and are literally one of the top GGs in Korea and have a pretty good global fanbase as well. They have their own style and a loyal fandom that likes it. They've had great success and are literally the artists that bring the highest income to their company. Do they have a lot more potential to grow? Yes. Underrated? Not really.

Actually I agreed yes they are popular but mostly the big reason why they are not hyped like other groups bcos of lack promotion/investment by the company n other factor they not fluent in English n the members not obligated to learn too (I think cos solar learned but then quit) while other idols has to learn it. To me Mamamoo is one the most complete groups. They have 3 of the best vocalists, one of the best rappers (who has vocals as well), they can kill all concepts, have fire stages, absolutely crackheads, insane visuals and the list go on. So if you stan talent, stan Mamamoo Moomoo 4ever

Mamamoo have bigger flex: 14 performances in Immortal Songs and a performance in Best of the Best special episode. no other girl group has 14 appearances(2nd is Gfriend with 4) and no other girl group has appeared on Best of the Best. also, Immortal Songs promoted their album in 2017 and their comeback Ye I Am. absolute Queens. Mamamoo also has 2 big flexes in Melon chart. Hip is the only song in Korean history that is in Melon chart for over 1 year. 350ish days. also in Melon chart Mamamoo female group from all generations with the most most songs that have over 1 million views. in 3rd generation groups they're number 1. Wheein personally also have a flex: 1Thek has made a top 5 Korean female vocalists. Wheein is ranked 3rd.

Finally, mamamoo's killing voice medley. I'm glad to see you enjoyed watching it. Mamamoo is always best live. Fun fact about Killing Voice: Solar, being a hiphop fan, requested to appear on killing verse but was rejected since it only features rappers. Months later killing voice came to be and their first guest is Mamamoo. There's a funny interview that came with this performance and there both Mamamoo and the Dingo staff were confused with which to call the show, killing verse or killing voice. I'd say watch mamamoo's Immortal Songs Medley next but you could also react to more of mmm's songs before delving more into their solo work.

most likely they invited Mamamoo as 1st guest cause my guess tells me that Solar is the one that made Killing Voice to become a show. not personally of course. there is an incident that leads to my guess. Solar likes rap(MC Dduk if your familiar) and she wanted to appear on Killing Verse which is for rappers and exists before Killing Voice. the show rejected her request cause she's not a rapper but a singer, so i'm guessing that they made Killing Voice to invite singers, and since Solar was the trigger they invited Mamamoo as the 1st guest. obviously i'm guessing, but personally i think i'm right.

for those that don't know, Mamamoo is the 1st guest that appeared on Killing Voice, and most likely Solar was the trigger that this show was made.
