On June 11, 2021, RBW announced that Wheein would be leaving the company since she has chosen not to renew her solo contract with the agency, but she signed a second contract extension to remain as a member of Mamamoo until December 2023.Therefore, making RBW responsible for her activities in the group, but no longer involved in her solo endeavors. In the press release, the agency said that Wheein has been having in-depth discussions with them and her group members for a very long time. In the end, she decided not to renew her contract and that her contract is going to expire soon. They added that they fully respect her decision and they hoped that Wheein will be happy and lucky in the new chapter of life she is about to begin. They also thanked Wheein for shining with them for seven years. RBW stated that Wheein has signed an agreement with the agency due to which she will continue promoting with MAMAMOO in some activities till December 2023*

Some things that I think will make you want to stan them more: 1.They make their own music, they actively participate in their art from composition to production. During their early eras they even did styling, makeup and choreo on their own. 2. They come from a small company and was their first group. The girls build the company from nothing. They went busking, performing at award shows just as performers, to university fests and then their promotion as idols too profited the company. 3. Rather than being just girl cruches or badass for the concept, Mamamoo are a bunch of bold women who aren't afraid to piss off netizens with their bold choices in their career. Defying gender norms, working against restrictions on female idols, breaking beauty standards, promoting and supporting the LGBTQ+ community openly and giving them opportunities and much more. 4. They all have a close bond. Wheein and Hwasa have known eachother since middle school too. All the girls have gone through many issues throughout the years together so they are very frank and close to each other. 5. Moonbyul, the rapper is the highest credited 3rd generation female idol as a lyricist and 3rd highest credited overall for female idols across all generations. 6. They have input in their concepts and solo music stuff through and through. They can go with any concept they would like. (Although their company sucks at promoting the girls.)

Fun fact. Altho this is a great way to get to know them vocally, you still haven’t seen nothing. Hwasa and wheein can belt as well and they can hit whistle notes and their runs are soullllll, moonbyul can also sing and isn’t only a rapper. In this vid you seen a lot of solar tho. She is a master belter, she has complete controle over it. If you want to check out their vocal power I would recommend Delilah , but unfortunately you will get a copyright Stoke if you do. So as a alternative that doesn’t get you a strike I would recommend their immortal song medley

I feel like they are kinda like a Little Mix Korean version, not comparing but like both groups have such great vocals, each one of the members with different sounds and runs, basically queens of harmonizing and much more, I truly love both groups

they had been rejected by many companies, Solar's parents had asked her to stop and find a job, she said just once more and she will stop, that last company happened to be RBW and as they say the rest is history. All the vocals, harmonies etc didn't just happen, it takes hours of practice. they are famous in Asia and well respected. I will never forget when Queendom happened, when the other groups found out that Mamamoo was going to compete there was a groan heard 10 miles away. 😂

Helping to clarify a bit... MMM crack songs mostly aren't so deep. 😂 Taller Than You (1cm Pride) was written by their CEO because the 4 of them always bicker about being taller than the other members. Sleep in the Car was also written by their CEO after he heard Solar and Wheein complaining about the late night recording (DURING 1CM Pride 🤣) and bickered to each other about who recorded first (usually Wheeinie and Byul are the last to record their solo scenes) Waggy was written by Byul to talk about puppy love. As in... literally the love for puppies. 😌❤🐶

Mamamoo's would be disbandment date actually was June 19th...but 3 of 4 stayed with the company for solo AND group activities and Wheein is staying for group activities. There are a lot of people who don't know what happened or just want Mamamoo to be over for some reason. They sold over 65k of an album that wasn't even a comeback in the first week, making it their 3rd highest in terms of sales, so I really don't think they're in any real danger of disbanding. 😂 Tbh, Mamamoo members are doing what most groups do when they're about to disband(e.g. go on variety shows, do OSTs, become radio hosts, etc) and so even though it has been made clear that they are not disbanding people are still acting brand new. We're getting some solo albums over the next few months, Moonbyul for sure and probably Hwasa, and Wheein just put out a solo album in April. There's plenty of Mamamoo to be had, 249 combined songs(solos, group songs, OSTs, commercial songs, instrumentals, etc) to be exact, so even if they did disband we really do have a lot of music to listen to and performances to watch. Even if you only counted group songs they still have a bigger discography than Girls Generation, Twice, Red Velvet, (f)X, and other prominent girl groups. Sometimes I feel like some fans exaggerate situations like possible disbandment and just be doing the most. No one gives as much as Mamamoo and for the next 2 1/2 years that's going to continue.

They are Big Mama same with Mamamoo the have 4 strong vocals they were under YG and considered the best 2nd generation Kpop vocalist. The disbanded in 2012 and recently had a comeback!
