Choice37 handled it well and professionally. He didn't sugarcoat it and he definitely didn't mean anything bad. If you can't do it in time or if it doesn't suit you, give it to someone who can. It's what's best for the whole team. This is how Bigbang and Blackpink handle line distributions too. Pharita doesn't have the technique to handle the "goooone" part. She will eventually get it, but they don't have time.

I think that Choice37 was makind a decision on what he was hearing and was concerned for Pharita. If it is a typical monthly evaluation then they have a group vocal, group dance, and a solo which means that he probably heard in Pharita's voice that she was straining. If she continued then it could have gotten worse and she would have been in real trouble for her solo on top of the group because she could have gotten laryngitis because she overused her larynx. So at that point Choice made the decision that Ahyeon should give it a shot. This way Pharita wouldn't have issues when D-day arrives.

People should chill the producers know more than us about the girls abilities and what they can do and how to get best performance from them .....and it showed in the performance .

What choice37 do is right thing to do, because pharita have hard time at that part ofcourse it should change, she already practice until she have sore throat and not have much time to practice. This is good for her and group, because them need to sing live.

evil editing? this is nothing close to evil editing, I'm saying this as a person who have watched all produce seasons and planet 99 seasons. what he did isn't wrong at all, he did what he had to do as a producer to make a song work especially since they do not have much time to actually practice. Definitely upsetting for Pharita but its not wrong. He also said it in the nicest way possible, i've seen harsher producers .

Choice37 changed it cuz it was a group performance, so they have to be strong as a group not as an individual member, so I think he did a great job in balancing the things in a very polite way...

I think they are just being a real Mentor, coz right now it is like a controversy when someone in a group has more line than the others.. Everyone will say that it is bias, it is unfair. But, NOO!!, Mentor or producer just doing their job on how song will turn to something hit. and there is nothing wrong abt that.

True, a lot of people don’t get that you can’t just distribute a song among members and expect it to turnout perfect for everyone. A line is supposed to also suit a member, not just be given to someone for the sake of equal distribution.

I think its time people need to understand that a group song is not about giving every member the same amount of lines or giving a member more lines it's all about the song itself, the outcome of the song is the most important thing not about ohh this member didn't get lines we should give her more lines damn!! no!! That's not how music production works especially for a group...

I’m actually so surprised you’re so upset about them changing parts! It was a team performance, Ahyeon was skilled better at doing that part of the song so it was given to her. Pharita was upset but understood that it was hurting her voice and it would be better to not do that part.

I've never seen you lose control of your emotions before! It was quite interesting to see you get pissedoff and even so frustrated that you were predicting the outcome of Pharita's sore throat before it played out. YG has accomplished his mission, getting everyone to love these young girls even before their debut. You complain about this evaluation process, even call it a publicity stunt. But let me ask you a question... would you rather have a nine member Pink Punk or Blackpink as we know it today??? The evaluation process is the same, except YG didn't have the insight during Pink Punk to record it and use that recording to promote his new group pre-debut. I always enjoy your reactions, and looking forward to this continuing saga.

I've watched all of yge survival show and one thing about him is that he doesn't hesitate to remove even one member, during BigBang documentary he removed 1 member eventho there were only 6 candidates, bp was also originally 7 and he removed 2 members and ended up with 4. For babymonster I think 5/6/7 is the possible numbers since BP is already have 4 members.

i mean this is how survival shows are run. Watch pd48 , girls planet or boys planet , i-land and you'll know. Choice37 was very nice in and fair in making the line distribution, this is how yg handles all artist's line distributions. It isn't about competing at all? If there isn't time and u don't have the best technique to do it why would the producer who has so much of experience take a risk? He'd rather give that part to sm1 who'd do it better. There's literally nothing harsh lol

I think, all of them will debut as baby monsters. What I think yg doing is pulling out their best performance, by making them think that some of them will be out of the group. It's harsh, but it is still a good tactic for them to show their best performances.

It should still be 7 considering how long ago this was filmed and all of them are still in yg and recently seen in public leaving the yg building plus their classmates congratulating them u gotta remember this was filmed in April to around may last year clearly by Jennie hair so this show is been over for a long time considering this week we’ve seen them together outside yg except rora and haram I’d say they are 7 since haram dyed her hair blonde and Ahyeon and haram have a lot of school selfies together rora lives far away with her parents since she isn’t old enough to go to the same school as older baemon girls yet in high school but her mom uploaded a pic recently on her birthday and she added the baby monster tag to her post so I’m confident she’s still there too

We know that it was April since they released the behind the scenes for Group A. Ahyeon's birthday is April 11 which she even sang a line from Gone. The mid-check looks like it was D-7 which means a week before D-Day. So I would think that the evaluation took place at the end of April. Jennie's hair color and Ahyeon's birthday was a dead giveaway to when this was recorded (The month of April 2022). And BABYMONST was seen at the BLACKPINK's "Born Pink" concert as 7 members which was after these evaluations so I would expect that they ended with a seven member group. There is also another possibility that one of them did get cut and is on the new girl group under the BLACKLABEL. A few months ago, Teddy was on the phone with someone saying that he just needed one more member and the group would be solid.

Once an anoucement of each group members come out, I kinda think that the A-group has more maturity than B-group considered their average age and leadership manners, and this coould have been the reason beyond YG's tought. You can see their teamwork attitude alongside with nice relationships in A-group, too. The B-team's younger ages could've affect their stability of performance. Anyway, I gonna cheer both teams to pass the evaluations well.

The other theory is that YG himself is playing the bad guy to remove a lot of the negativity from the girls. It works and had been a ploy they use for their artists. Take Jisoo for example. She had the least amount of lines in every BLACKPINK song and is the last to have a solo. But because of that, Jisoo also now has a really high following and is now breaking records with her solo debut. The way that the videos were set up was that you get attached to the members and then you hear that there's a chance that your bias might get cur from the group would cause everyone to root for all seven of these girls to make it into BABYMONSTER. I mean just from the performances alone, I wanted all 7 to debut but after the introduction videos I grew attached to them as a group.

I respect your opinion, even if I don't understand why you think this way about this fact, in my opinion it's like a typical day of work for them, addressing these problems and trying to solve them in the best possible way! These producers, and the other team members, have been working for years and years at YG and they know very well how to deal with certain situations, if they decided to change the parts between Pharita and Ahyeon then they were sure that that would be the best way and faster than deal with the situation! And then consider how little time they had to prepare and the fact that the team had to preserve the group performance FIRST! Personally I don't see anything strange in this fact, indeed for the girls it becomes a precious experience for the future, because they must be ready to face even this kind of obstacles during their career! I hope to help you to see that fact from another point of view!

I agree. Choice was looking for the best interest in both Pharita and the group as a whole. I have a feeling that he heard something in Pharita's voice that made him worry. She was pushing her voice too hard and couldn't have been really bad not just for the group but for her as well since they also have a solo performance that they also need to do during this time period. Keep in mind that monthly evaluations include a group performance, dance performance, and a solo performance. We know this because of BLACKPINK in "Light up the Sky" I believe where they mentioned that every month that was what was expected from them. I think that everyone thinks that they are doing the group, dance, and solo one after the other but I think that YG's monthly evaluations are still these three things they look at each month. So if Pharita continued, she could have lost her voice and be really screwed for the final evaluation.
