Aaron so since this is your first time reacting to Gfriend I wanted to let you know this is the first time this girl group has ever done something drastically different. Gfriend initially became popular for their orchestral, innocent, and dramatic sound. They've tried to change up their sound back in 2017 but at the time people were just getting used to their sound and were not kind to the change. They rose to popularity around 2016 but made their debut in 2015. They became known for their insanely in-sync and tough choreography. They're known as one of the best dance groups overall. They're also part of like the top 5 most popular girl groups in Korea right now. They consist of 6 members. They came from a poor company and joined together with Bighit because the ceo of bighit is best friends with Gfriend's company's ceo (Source music). I recommend reacting to their initial stuff first such as Time for the moon night, Rough, Me gustas su, Navillera, Sunrise, Crossroads. Some of their songs that include a sound change are Fingertip, fever, and Sunny summer. Their debut song was Glass bead.

I liked this song a loot. The concept and style is kinda different from their previous releases, but i liked. If u you are interested in listen to more songs from them, i recommend: Fingertips, Navillera, Sunrise, Rough and, my ultimate favorite Gfriend's song, the masterpiece, Time For The Moon Night. Their style are different and, for some people, it's a nah or yass. Gfriend are known for their sound, vocals, energetic choreo and, of course, for being crackheads. Huh when you said dionysus, there is actually a greek mythology theory. Where gfriend was said to be Ariadne, the goddess of labyrinths (bcs their labyrinth is one of the main keys in the gfriend universe) The weird thing is ariadne actually ended up married dionysus. Ariadne have 6 siblings (gfrd) and dionysus has 7 siblings (bts). They have 5 children which make people think it could be txt. Pretty interesting

Please don’t be mistaken, Gfriend’s company Source Music is now a subsidiary of Big Hit, making them a “Big Hit Label” company, but they are still a functioning company on its own and Gfriend is still a Source Music artist and not technically under the same company as BTS and TXT. Bang PD has said before that Big Hit’s artists’ storyline could/may connect but that doesn’t necessarily apply to Gfriend since they are not a Big Hit Entertainment artist, they’re under a subsidiary. That butterfly was part of Gfriend’s story way before Big Hit came in to the picture. It first appear during their 2016 Melon music award performance and has appeared multiple times in their story since then. Only their last comeback and this one was produced after their company became a Big Hit Subsidiary. People like to draw connections between Gfriend’s storyline and the other BH artists and that’s fine, that’s what theories are for. But personally, I don’t think it connects and to my knowledge, its was never said that Gfriend’s story would connect to BTS or TXT. Gfriend really is an amazing group. They are huge and well loved in Korea. Definitely top 3 or 4 girl group there with the others being the big 3 company groups. Their music always charts high on music charts, they regularly sweep music show wins, I believe they have the 4th most wins for girl groups (again, the other 3 being Big 3 company groups), and they are regular winners at year end awards. They also have the 2nd and 3rd most music show wins on a single song with 15 wins with Rough and 14 with Naverilla. Btw, this song is far from the usual Gfriend song and concept. They wanted to try something new and different for this comeback. I think in order to grasp Gfriend, you should start from the very beginning with Glass Bead :)

That's kinda like the point why it sounds like that. Kinda like they're hypnotizing you, one reactor said that they put you in a trance. That's how their songs work. They let you feel what the character feels in the MV as far the story goes. If you've heard them before you'll probably know that this was a huge change to their brand. You could try to give their other title tracks a listen so you can distinguish their usual sound. They are actually known as 'performance queens' in music shows since they have great vocals, stunning visuals and synchronized choreographies. You can also watch their dance practices if you have the time because of their insane synchronization and energy which is very entertaining. As for the story of each MV. Well this goes to Big Hit Universe, and yes they have a storyline that connects to TXT and BTS, and you mentioned Dionysus, well we think it also connected to Ariadne, which is the God of Labyrinth, which is wife of Dionysus.
