'Peach' is famously Sulli's nickname. The MV starts with IU saying 'Peach'. She also says she's leaving a coded message while being circumspect. Its tempting to interpret that 20 year old IU was in love with Sulli.

IU did say that she wanted to write a song the way a man would express his adoration for his love, and to accomplish this, IU thought of Sulli as her inspiration for it :') She's confirmed that she tried to express herself the way a man in love with Sulli would in so many interviews lol Personally, the funniest performance of this song is the one where she plays that dollar-store recorder (referencing her guesting on Jonghyun's radio show) and sings along the lines of "Do you want to marry me?" and then she speaks with her normally deep voice and goes "I actually just want to remain single" 😂🥲

this is IU singing about her best friend FX member SULLI , from the point of view of a man if she was a man she would have been dating SULLI , SULLI was so touched by this song that when SULLI mad a K-DRAMA she actully sang the song PEACH in that K-DRAMA and is a nickname IU gave her . also when SULLI passed away IU was on the LOVE POME TOUR and many many people think the LOVE POME song was also made for SULLI just before her passing away which is why LOVE POME song is very highly guarded as a message song of hoping to see you one last time ... but sadly SULLI took her own life before getting one last chance too see IU . SULLI took her own life on OCT 14TH 2019 . after the LOVE POME TOUR iu was planing on spending time with both her friends SULLI & GOO HARA which GOO HARA also took her own life on NOV 25 2019 one month later ...

I love the story in this MV actually. Where she liked someone but decided not to pursue it. In the beginning where IU takes the photoshoot, it was shown someone with untied shoelace. Then the photographer said that the guy doesn't come to Venice with them. Then that guy gives IU the photograph. When the song starts, I think that is IU's imagination if she really having a date with that guy. Then when she comes back from her trip, turn out the guy is coming to Venice. But like she said in the interview before, she can't pursue that kind of relationship, she choose to put a cold face to the guy and just said that his shoelace is untied. Like the lyrics of the song that everything is a lie. That she actually loves him. This MV really gives me such joy, but it really sad too. That she can't just having relationship or having a date freely like any other people 😟

The only flaw of this video was: "I used the map" 🤣🤣🤣 Uaenas know IU directionally challenged let alone using a map lol And no that's not the full version of Peach. The original one she was also playing the flute and she wrote Peach from a male POV while thinking about one of her best friend, Sulli. After Sulli passed this song has become bittersweet 🥺 as IU wrote it for her.
