You most probably don't remember hearing this in the drama because it was released in the last two episodes of the drama, this was also the background music of the characters' goodbye scene at the South-North Korean boarder. And this was actually IU's first official OST in 9 years so it meant a lot, and the lyrics are in the perspective of Hyun Bin's character towards Ye Jin's character. The lyrics say it all.

🍁I remember the day this OST was released. I wasn't watching this drama at the time, but🦎I was so excited that IU was singing the OST and I was so happy that it was going to be released soon.🦕I was so excited on the day it was finally released and🐦I was so ecstatic to listening to the song because it fits IU's voice.🐑I didn't know about the drama, but I roughly guessed it.🦩It's a song that stands out IU's emotions, so every time I listen to it, I think it's a song made by IU.🍀The scene where IU's song comes out in that drama was so impressive. yesssss a new iu reaction!! i miss them so much ❤ when this ost first came out i wasn't watching the kdrama but i loved the song sm so i kept listening to it by its own to the point i forgot it was an ost, and then years later i finally watched the actual kdrama it was the best moment ever

Yes, IU wrote this song and it was a big deal in Korea since IU doesn’t really sing for OST. These two actors needed up getting married after the drama ended and invited Gumi to sing this song for their wedding. This translation was good enough but the meaning in Korean is absolutely the best and this song got really popular for wedding songs which I knew it would 😉

IU don't write this song. However, this is an first and last officially released song for OST which IU sings since 2011( IU hadn't sung for OST since 'Hold My Hand' in 2011) I guess she participated in this song because IU and the drama writer keep a good relationship since 'Producer' the song was revealed for the first time at the ring gift scene in ep.13 and was released in a week this song was a huge hit after it released.
