That's a good observation. The mixing of the vocals in this song being more unusual, vocals sound more at the back, slightly muffled with the reverb and like you mentioned, the drum hits are also more pushed back and muffled. I think it's because this song is played in certain parts in the webtoon but if the vocals are too much at the front and not slightly muffled like it's now, then it could be difficult for readers to concentrate on the webtoon itself and you can feel this especially in the chorus. If it was a usual production, the vocals would have more upfront making it sound like they're going all out with their vocals. Kindly note that this is just my take on the mixing tho. It could be a completely be a different reason but the song itself feels like a score so my guess might not be off.

The melody it self already beautifully composed by our amazing Suga, but topped with Jungkook's voice and his talents to understand the final goal of the song, sing it, add all the add-libs and self harmonizing? it becomes a masterpiece!! even Suga him self told us in his vlive that some of the melodies are really difficult but JK sung it very well and it was already so good so that Suga didn't need to take another recording. You know I just noticed that the voice isn't produced to death which it normally is in a lot of their newer music. That's probably why it sounds a lot like their earlier music. I like the Bts of now as much as I did the Bts of then but no one can argue that in many cases they do not need the level of processing that is put on their voices. Suga is an incredible producer and I wish he would be in charge of the group's production moving forward. I don't mean do all the production just be in charge of it. He has a good ear and knows how to highlight voices and when to add and dial back the effects.
