I think people are confusing "older kpop sound" with "genre that isnt a pop mixture" its strange, I guess a lot of people forget that SHINee are a contemporary mainly RnB (which stands for rhythm and blues) group, if you dont like that type of sound nothing SHINee will resonate with you cause no matter what genre of song they sing they always bring that RnB feel to it, so yeah. idk. All songs that have been recommended have a very SHINee sound to them, that doesn't mean they sound like "old" Kpop, cause they really don't. They are just a different genre of music, simple as that.

I swear!!! Shinee and RV (sorry to add) for me,these are the only two groups esp from SM who really resonate to me the perfect synonym for RnB in all their songs mainly their bsides which doesn’t sound like those typical old school Kpop criteria songs but when you’re in it, it speaks to you!! All the songs that he has reacted to so far are great. It’s not really that these are not the ones that represent SHINee’s best. It’s just not the reactor’s preferred type of music. From watching all of his SHINee and Taemin reactions, I don’t think he will ever vibe with most of SHINee’s songs, which is a shame cause I’m on the opposite side. I love almost all the songs of SHINee I heard so far. Maybe some not on the first or even second listen. I fell in love with SHINee first and foremost because of their music. It’s so rich and diverse that I’m actually certain it has single-handedly enhanced my musical knowledge.

I’m a hard-core shawol and I don’t think Aaron doesn’t have a music taste, it is just different from yours and there’s nothing bad about it... Shinee’s music, as much as we adore is and resonate with it, just doesn’t click with him. Like a certain music genre I’m 100% sure doesn’t click with you either... I actually found it fun and exciting shawols kept sponsoring his reactions. Like an admiration tribute we want to give our boys. hmm…i can get it some older SHINee songs or other groups’ songs of 1,2nd gen might not the cup of tea for some people, like Aaron. but for some people like myself, SHINee’s songs especially b-sides and ballads are timeless. production wise, those songs are not as good as current kpop songs. but the quality of music! it is always so good to listen to. personally i am still listening to excuse me miss studio version time to time. And the fact that Jonghyun and Onew were great, complete vocalists from the beginning always gives me chills. Of course, it is also hard for me to listen to couple of songs covered with auto-tune or those songs too experimental neither;;; But even from their debut album of 2008, good r&b album btw, we can find great pieces like Replay, Love like Oxygen, One for me, Graze, In my room…quality songs. for me, SHiNee has at least two to three great b-sides in each of their album that i am always listening to. i love the beautiful, meaningful lyrics of most of the songs in SHINee’s discography. Almost poetic lyrics which is quite hard to find it from recent 4th gen kpop songs. always giving me comforts. But i agree! Excuse me miss is not their best b-sides:) Well…SHINee has been releasing many albums right?

well people have different personal preference bcs for me excuse me miss literally one of the best shinee’s b-sides like when the first time I listened to this album I just repeatedly listen to it and when this live stage of this song released I was so confused bcs of the sudden change at before the last rap part BUT I still love both studio and live version. yes, this album is pretty old but tbh I can’t denied, consider this album came 2013, the quality of the songs is top-tier and still better than any kpop albums released so far. again this is my personal opinion :)

I mostly agree. I never really enjoyed EMM that much as a song and I don't listen to the studio version because I think (and it's probably the popular opinion) that the live performance is superior in this case not just because it sounds better live but also because it's quite heavily rearranged with the new bridge part which, in my opinion, is the best part of the song. I don't think Aaron even realized that difference while listening to the studio version since he didn't mention anything about it lol. I also believe that many SHINee songs sound amazing and possibly even better live especially when it comes to the older releases such as the Misconception series. However, at the same time many of SHINee songs are timeless or aged really well and don't really have that typical 'old kpop sound' that Aaron doesn't like. The problem with Excuse Me Miss is not the production per say but more so the style/genre that he doesn't vibe with. I don't think it's that hopeless, he reacted to what like less than 10 songs by them and most of the ones requested were old ones of a similar production style/quality that he doesn't enjoy. Perhaps SHINee's music isn't going to be his favorite thing ever but I think partially it's also on the requests to blame. Over the years SHINee has covered such a wide array of music that there's almost something for everyone, I'm sure he just hasn't found it yet. At the same time, I think that their solos have more potential in terms of production and style for him to like, especially Key's and some of Jjong's stuff, of course besides Taemin. I am actually thinking to request a reaction like that. I'm still choosing the specific song as it's difficult to narrow down lol.

Moon,Take the dive, Let me out, Grease by Jonghyun (I think that probably Take the dive is the best pick to suggest him first. or Moon) This life, Yellow Tape, Eighteen, I Will Fight by Key (I would pick This Life) I know that he likes dark/powerfull/agressive/melancholic/sad/upbeat (mostly)/with more complicated instrumentals and vocal layerings stuff

I’ve been reading the comments and getting a bit worried a bit here. Relax guys. First of SHINee will always be a 5 member group whether it is pre or post Jjong. Secondly, it is OKAY if someone only like one member more instead of SHINee as a whole. That does not take SHINee achievements away from them. So what if they like Taemin more or Onew or Key or Minho. Yes Jjong is precious. Yes Jjong will always be in SHINee, but we can’t force a person’s taste to our own. They have a choice who they pick to like. Just like how we have a choice on who we pick to chose to listen to. If this channel does not serve your pick, there are plenty of channel that does that for you now. At the end of the day, it is what you like and that is the most important. Shawols, at this point, stop trying to force him to react to Shinee. It’s obvious he doesn’t really resonate with their sound. If you wanna go ahead and recommend/request newer Taemin songs and performances, then go ahead because he seems to like Taemin’s solo sound more (side note but this is also what I’ve noticed with his reactions to Taeyeon vs SNSD). Yey! Another SHINee! Thank you! I kinda figured after Y Si Fuera Ella that SHINee songs wouldn't be your taste, although maybe some new ones pass because of the updated musicality but I think the main point of SHINee's songs are the vocals, a.k.a the very effective mix of the voices and energy of these Five Boys, that's why personally, ALL SHINee SONGS, old or new are very effective to me.
