Their voice characters are so different but match perfectly by divided their voice signatures. Regarding to this, I recommend "Odd eye", "Symptoms" and "U Need me" (not popular music style but really a masterpiece by how they delegated each parts and mixture of their unique voices). Thank you for your reaction to SHINee songs, hope you will get more into their music because they always experiment new things and made trends towards kpop music industry.

This is one of my favourite Shinee songs. Gets me in the feels. And it's more meaningful now more than ever. Jonghyun and Taemin's voices together, sound like 1 person. Taemin's tone and singing style now are somewhat similar I feel. When I listen to their latest albums, some parts of the songs sounds like Jonghyun singing. I donno if I make sense. Just sharing my thoughts. Thank you for this reaction Aaron! Glad you enjoyed it.

Thank you for your reaction! Maybe you will like Symptoms by them too. Jonghyun wrote that song and they even performed it live. Everybody was the title track and they performed Symptoms and One Minute Back too (but One Minute Back is more experimental)

I am ambivalent about this song, I never want to listen to it but I like it when I do. The singing is amazing, and you can hear the lightness of Jonghyun's voice and how similar it can be to Taemin's. Also, how well their singing goes together. This is from a time where videos had nothing to do with lyrics, so I prefer the version they sing in the radio show.

This is actually my favorite song by them, not only do they look so good and all have great vocals especially Jonghyun and Onew, but also as you said, lyrics are sad but the instrumental is kinda fun and indeed feels like freedom, and so does the MV. Thus it's a song you can really listen to anytime, regardless of your current mood. And it's so frickin' underrated. Aaah I love it.

I still think it was a 2Min thing...and a test of their friendship as a group. AND by the end of the video, their friendship survived and so did everyone else, except maybe the car. The guns and explosion were metaphors.

The mv has a storyline which Minho and Han So Hee (an actress who appears in several drama e.g. "The World of the Married", "100 Days My Prince" (D.O.'s drama), "Nevertheless", this mv is her debut) fall in love but Taemin loves her too. Later, they are in a fight and Taemin set the fire to kill Minho and Han So Hee.

The other perspective, based on the lyrics, is that this could be SM's official breakup song for 2Min (Taemin and Minho). It's time for the boys to become men and move beyond their close relationship. (So Taemin is jealous of the actor, because she is taking Minho away.) Also, this appears to be a song preparing the members for life, strained relationships, etc. but as the last frame of the video shows, no matter how upset or hurt they are, their love and friendship is so strong, they can transcend adversity. I remember Jonghyun saying his jacket got torn when he scuffled and was excited to show the fans how tough he was, but I guess that part was cut.

there are times when I still can't believe the idols who have passed have passed... I've watched shinee basically since their debut and I never would have thought Jonghyun would be gone... I remember him on Star Golden Bell and IU impersonating his singing, I remember him on Hello Baby with his members... @@stormy8171 if you watched his other reaction videos.. it’s not really the fact that the song was structurally old fashioned (2nd generation kpop feels), but his preference in Music depends on the genre which is more heavy, complicated, eccentric and edgy. Just like how he connected with Girls Generation - The Boys (2011), f(x) - Red Light (2014), EXO - Overdose (2014), etc. I think he didn’t enjoy TMWTD.. as compared with Shinee’s latest songs which he REALLY prefers and enjoys (Don’t Call Me and Atlantis). ‘Everybody’ was released in 2013 and was considered actually “ahead of its time”. It brought Dubstep in mainstream KPOP. Plus we all know how epic is its live performance during their concerts. Lucifer is also a favorite especially for dancers like Aaron.. especially if he watches the LATEST performance of them during their From Now On Concert in Japan. These 2 are vocally and choreographically CHALLENGING.
