HONEST REACTION to Stray Kids "Double Knot" M/V

Here's their MV storylines combined in a short summary: Stray Kids debuted with the title song "District 9" under their 1st mini album "I am NOT". First, search up and watch Stray Kids "I am NOT" Trailer on youtube and you will find a cinematic teaser to the start of their storyline. They started in District 9 where they were all brainwashed into a system that was not real and controlled by authorities. Now search up Stray Kids "District 9" M/V and watch it (It will continue the storyline what happens next). In the "District 9" M/V, the leader (Bang Chan) finds out that they were being controlled and the world they lived in was not real. So, he informed his friends (the other members) that were also trapped in the system to make a plan to escape from the system and they ultimately succeeded (shown at the end of the M/V). So now they are out and they have to figure out who they really are thus, came the next album of the "I am" series, "I am WHO" where they touch on topics like identity confusion. The title song of this album was "My Pace" which talking about being who you want to be at your own pace. In the "My Pace" M/V, they are still being watch by cameras hence the authorities as shown the music video. Finally the album series ends with the album, "I am YOU" (the title track is called I am YOU so watch that M/V as well). In the "I am YOU" M/V, They take down the cameras showing that they are finally not being watched by the authorities anymore. It carries over from "My Pace" with the message that 'I see me in you and through you, I can find myself'. At the end of the "I am YOU" M/V, you can see the boys looking out into a faraway city from District 9. Now search/watch their MIROH teaser video, it continues from the last scene of the "I am YOU" M/V and the opens the 1st door into the farway city they were gazing at with the 1st key starting the Clé series this year with the 1st album "Clé 1 : MIROH". Clé means key in French. Now watch this M/V. In "MIROH" M/V they enter a city that is chaotic like a jungle/maze and they're challenging/overthrowing the authorities that were controlling them in District 9. So now they've entered the MIROH. "Miro" means "maze" in korean and the "h" at the end represents either heaven or hell depending on where the maze will take them. The overall message is that 'It was me who ran into this jungle and it's not hard bc I am with others who are helping me along the way'. Now search/watch their "Victory Song" teaser video on YT. It will summarize what happened to them last year and what they plan on doing this year which is going 'beyond the fixed line towards STAY' (their fans). In "Side Effects", it was a squeal to "MIROH" where the members experience side effects (headaches, anxiety, etc) from going in with baseless confidence in MIROH. In "Double Knot" the members are now not caring what their destination is as long as they go in with confidence. I hope this helped :))

Felix's voice is really unique, it's so deep even for kpop, but actually it's kinda a new trend in groups to have at least one rapper with a deep voice like that. I know that for you it's something new or unusual, while for me when I listen to kpop boy groups I'm like "aaaand another one with deep voice" ;)

Thank you for reacting to Double Knot! I really find your observations interesting and would also like to share mine. When you stan Stray Kids, part of being a Stay is expecting unpredictable music from them. From an entirely different genre, unusual flows and rhythms, and deep lyrics to their meaningful storylines - you never know what you're getting and you get immersed in things like that. And I guess that just makes you more receptive and supportive of their unique style. Maybe that's part of why I loved this song right off the bat and didn't really have a problem understanding it (of course, I may be biased because they're my ults lol). This song is unpredictable, yet it's exactly what I expected. You have a point about people not liking this because it's unpredictable. I think that happened with Side Effects. I am really amazed that you like that first because most fans prefer Miroh over it. For me, to fully appreciate their songs, especially with Cle, I think people need to start with the first album, and by that I mean understanding the concept, the story line, the easter eggs in each MVs, the theories etc. Coming from that, when I heard Double Knot, I was like "Yep. That's SKZ alright. This is the music that I expect to get - intense, aggressive, unique and meaningful." And the fact that these dropped easter eggs for their next (potential) single, Astronaut, makes the MV even more interesting for me. That's all, didn't mean for this to be this long, but I guess I just had fun sharing my thoughts on SKZ. I hope you learn more about them over time. ❤️
