Yeah, he does; I always had this feeling about him, from what I've read and what I know of his work, that he's just a really relaxed and good-natured fellow who also has a keenly-sensitive, deeply-passionate side to him. I mean, I didn't know his directorial record but when I looked it up, I was impressed at his understated range and sense of tone... I mean, back when FOX was working on their initial "Fantastic Four" movie, he pitched a really great premise for it that was balls-to-the-walls - with the Fantasticar and other 60s-style elements, the works... after Edgar Wright left, we were definitely blessed to have him and the crew that came with him to right the ship and make this movie work (and in all honesty, knowing what I knew before AND after this video I actually prefer what Peyton Reed did to what Wright was planning... no Janet Van Dyne? Travesty!)

12:40 Ant-Man Director: I worried about CGI young Dr.Pym because it is the first scene in the movie and I don't want the audience is like: ur, look, that is terrible. Wanner Bros and Joss Whedon: no one give a f*** about this Justice League, open it with that weird CGI mustache, who cares?
@manwe15326 жыл бұрын
hey that cgi mustache was glorious
@HermanFalckHow6 жыл бұрын
That is not exactly fair. Especially not on Whedon. I think that movie needed to open with that scene. It is one of the things that worked about that film. And the mustache could have worked if given enough time to fix it. But WB execs wanted those bonuses
@willynilly916 жыл бұрын
Peyton was absolutely right for worrying about freaking people out with uncanny valley in the very first scene. Because when I went to see Justice League, that first scene with Superman's face just completely took me out of the movie from the get-go and I was in a pessimistic mood for the rest of the film. First impressions matter a lot and that was not the right way to start off your movie. I think most of the blame should go to the studio execs as opposed to Whedon. But even still, they should have spent more time on that first scene. Cause I think that most of the shots of Superman's face in the movie weren't THAT bad. But the first scene was easily the worst looking one and should have been prioritized more.

Just A guy It depends on your point of view. I found it good. Also, the reviews aren't too much of mixed bag, but more of a mid-tier marvel movie. Which is quite positive. For example, on rotten tomatoes, 87% of critics like the movie, and 80% was the audience rating. So, I think most likely you will probably like the movie. I'm just going to say it has unique premise from the other marvel films, it's also quite light compared to infinity war. It's also has a lot of humor, it's comparable to Thor Ragnarok in that regard.

They need to set it up as another charity event, and then get Scoops McGee to do the honest trailer/commentary.

Would I want that or Cap 1? How about a 3rd option, they do a Honest Trailer for The Rocketeer and then get him for that.

I'm genuinely surprised that Luis' rambling tips are not an Edgar Wright idea. If there was anything in Ant-Man that seemed like his -- outside of the fight scene with the two guards -- I thought it'd be Luis and his stories. Funny how the two most Edgar Wright scenes in that film weren't from him at all.

I'd like to see either James Cameron react to one of your trailers to his movies, or Michael Bay. That would be fun.
