That's the reason why he signed the accords, he cant correct the mistakes he made but basically he's trying to avoid more mistakes he might make in the future. Remember that problem Antman hat with that tank? It was in the end just a tank miniature with the weight of a tank when you follow the way the technology worked. That problem goes both ways. When Antman grew big he would have been blown over. He was big as a giant, but only about 100kg in weight. Try balancing a long stick in the air when it's mildly windy.Possible, but still hard to hold completly still. That has about 1% of the surface area he had :) If there would have been a turbine blowing anywhere near, then antman would have been sticking against the next wall without any chance of getting of it when still this big. Antman is visually cool, but fucks over his own rules of reality and laws of physics when ever he can.

+Erik Hackney They fought each other, and Rhodey got seriously injured. Cap sided with the guy who murdered Tony's parent. Zemo sowed hate, anger and distrust, and a group cannot function in this condition. Sure, the avengers may still exist, but an empire doesn't fall in one day.

While his plan did work I would have liked them to focus a little more on him, hinting that things didn't always go his way sometimes while other times lady luck did favor him. Make it more like a chess game rather them him being this basically magic guy who knew the future........or give him future seeing powers.......that would actually fix ALL plot holes in this movie O.o

This movie hits differently when you realize there is a clause in the Accords that exempts Tony from its limitations. The Accords regulate super-powered individuals, whether that is by genetic cause or advanced technology. But it states that any individual with a prosthesis, even one that makes them ‘super-powered’ is exempt. Tony’s arc reactor was originally a medical prosthetic for his heart, and he never revealed publicly that he no longer needed it by the point of Civil War. Tony was pressuring Steve to sign a document that would bind his hands while Tony’s remained unchained, and the Accords would bring Zola’s ultimate goal to fruition, that freedom is sacrificed for security. Of course Steve Rogers would be dickishly stubborn about not signing the Accords.

not much, the villain was secondary in this movie
@RetepAdam8 жыл бұрын
The fact that he was secondary actually worked to his advantage. Instead of some big, grandstanding show of force that inevitably gets defeated in the third act, he just slips out out the picture, revealing that The Avengers' infighting that overshadowed him for the entirety of the movie *was* his plan. I thought it was all pretty well-executed.

remember batman returns Penguin. riddler was memorable(weird as could be). Old Zod. Luthor. I think the problem right now is that there still trying to make big villains or one army. They need more villain groups. But that sounds expensive too.

The difference is Marvel has quite a few movies for most characters and has established their universe. Had BvS come out after some other DCMU movies focusing on individual characters then it most likely would of done much better. Plus the main two fights in Civil war were much more satisfying imo.

Civil War was based on Avengers 2, which was well received and all around entertaining, BvS was based on Man of Steel which many people say sucked for many different reasons. Also one thing that any fan of either Marvel or DC knows is that Marvel has great heroes but crappy villains, and DC has crappy heroes but great villains, and since these are movies solely about the heroes, gotta go with Marvel.

TastyDash how so? I agree with the trailer that the fight between the Avengers only felt like a sparring session. Having never read the comics, a title like "Civil War" gave me the impression that a lot more was at stake. The only serious 'I'll kill you if I have to' fight between the members was only at the end between Stark, Cap and Bucky. The letter at the end just sealed the deal for me that this "war" never felt like one in the first place..

I enjoyed both a lot that I saw both in theaters twice. I don't get where all the hate for BvS comes from though. The ultimate edition should have been the final version and it is definitely not as bad as everyone says it was. Plot didn't make sense? Lex wants Superman dead because Lex hates the idea of god since God in his words "save him from dads fist." batman wants Superman dead because of fear. Superman just wants to save people but due to the negative criticism he isn't sure it's worth it anymore.The background plots aren't even that complicated with the Injustice story and Darkseid references. They're super quick and don't destroy the movie at all. It's just a bandwagon thing to hate this movie for whatever reason. They're both great in their respective universes because they fit there so well.

@assassinscreedess8 жыл бұрын
gongsandblazes12 Tumblr's obsession with Steve and Bucky having a romantic and extremely sexual relationship is weird lol I've no quarrel with the friendship that's constantly portrayed in the movies. Bucky is literally Steve's only living connection to his past now that Peggy is gone. As far as the insulting, lol it's the internet, who really cares? Like what do you expect?
@gongsandblazes128 жыл бұрын
On the contrary, it is perfectly understandable. Steve and Bucky's relationship is so highly fraught and charged that it generates this kind of discussion and interest. Does that mean two men cannot be friends? Absolutely not but in this situation Steve and Bucky's bond has an erotic dimension (erotic does not only mean sexual). Their friendship generates tension that it subsumes straight platonism into that of sensual significance. Their friendship isn't quite romantic or platonic. It is a synthesis of both that it leads to an apotheosis of them both. Their friendship plainly put transcends the prosaic and that is rare with male friendships or female friendship. That's what Plato was trying to get at in his depiction of the male/male bond. Infact true friendships often have a psycho-romantic dynamic. There is a meeting of mind, body and soul (again this is not sexual).So to chalk what people are picking up on - albeit not having the proper words to express - down to tumblr shipping or fangirl drooling is nonsense imo.

@crepperwlp3 жыл бұрын
That's actually his plan B already. He wanted the handler to give him the files on Tony's parents. If he did, getting to Bucky wouldn't even be necessary.

I know this is an honest trailer but no one died in the airport battle because they weren't trying to kill each other, just subdue. And there are stakes, they're going to have to find some way to get back together to fight Thanos.
@geromino978 жыл бұрын
but they couldn't afford to kill one character??its called Civil War and i expect casualties in civil war
@bearfcker58 жыл бұрын
+geromino97 Next time, I'm sure Marvel will consult you on what you expect out of their movies before hand.

***** most people expected someone to die, thats why honest trailer is making fun of them for not having stakes, so marvel should listen to their fans

Captain America: Civil War is the good version of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Not exactly. Civil War was a bigger disappointment than BVS in my opinion.
@michaelboiteau98908 жыл бұрын
thats y nobody likes u pappa d. the only way i can get wut u saying is if u expected a 5/10 from bvs but got a 4.5/10 and with capitano was expecting an 11/10 but got a 10.
@mimyo098 жыл бұрын
Are you kidding me? You can form your opinion of course, but no way that CW was a bigger disappointment. BvS had so much hype, that when the film released, it was just terrible and disappointing. CW got a lot of hype as well, but a lot more people liked CW. So I think BvS is the bigger disappointment
@spencernielsen3928 жыл бұрын
***** While it is a tad disappointing that it doesn't look like the events of Captain America: Civil War will have much lasting power moving forward in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Captain America: Civil War is by far a better film than Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Disregarding the far superior (though still not good) Ultimate Edition, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is a narrative catastrophe: the catalyst for the plot is removed from the film, these aren't the characters from the comics, and even in the realm of this new continuity, Batman and Superman are moronic, sadistic hypocrites, Lex Luthor just sucks (made even worse by poor Jesse Eisenberg who is throwing anything and everything to see what sticks), Doomsday is retarded and makes no sense (especially when the film tries so hard to make the world feel real), none of the potentially powerful themes are realized beyond concepts that people mention in passing, and the editing is atrocious (whose idea was it to omit establishing shots, and shoot almost everything in closeup?), they wasted Larry Fong. The fact that you need a 3 hour director's cut to even make it a comprehensible film (aside from the still-confusing third act) is shameful and a reminder that this was a horrible idea to launch a shared universe off of. Captain America: Civil War on the other hand is great. The film really speaks for itself, and I actually liked Zemo! I really don't get why people disregard him as another generic Marvel villain. I liked how the story grew smaller and smaller as it went on, until it literally has the two opposing ideologies clash: Grieve vs. Guilt. Even reshot scenes, including the Spider-Man stuff lent itself well, developing Tony Stark's character in that he wants to atone for his sins of feeling responsible for the death of a young man who could change the world for the better. Solid flick, and probably the best film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe! My only glaring issue with the film is that Bucky still isn't really a character, and merely a catalyst for the conflict. That's a shame because Sebastian Stan is a fine actor, and the relationship between both men being fishes-out-of-water could be funny, and endearing.
@masteroogway1908 жыл бұрын
Don't get me wrong. I thought both films were pretty disappointing. Civil War played it WAY too safe, and BvS took too many risks. One was boring and the other was confusing. I expected BvS to improve on Man of Steel, and in my opinion it did. Civil War was just, meh. Spiderman and Antman were the coolest parts and they didn't even drive the plot forward.
