I fail to see how this is the housing fault when you are limited by what your camera can do. Technically, as long as your future new phones can fit into the housing it will always be more advance than your existing gopro. I believe there are 3rd party apps may allow for more adjustment for your phone camera.

I think you can just get the red/purple filter instead of all the lights 2 hand stuff... i bought a pack that included the filter and the "thing" to hold it, it makes it a little heavier yes, but not too much. I haven't had the chance to try it yet but it has tons of good reviews.

Yeah, I'm sure it would help at least a little! My concerns about it are: using a GoPro at these dive sites, the red filter makes everything pink until you get below about 12m or so, but the photo examples I showed in this video are taken at about 5m. I haven't tried the red filters yet, because they are a separate purchase. Also, I think it's a little bit crazy that the product doesn't arrive with the BASICS that you need for it to function underwater. The videos/photos turn green by about 2-3 meters depth. So, in short, I don't know! I also have heard AMAZING things and was so excited to try this out, but it hasn't been a win for me, personally. I'd love to hear back once you get a chance to try your red filters!

I think though it is great for those of us who don’t dive but enjoy snorkeling. I tried mine out yesterday and got some fantastic photos even in some murky water (high winds over here right now). They were infinitely better than my little Olympus that kicked the bucket earlier in the year. But I had lots of natural light to rely on.

@@karenbarkley4261 I would totally agree! It’s not a bad concept, just when it comes to diving, I’m not a fan of how bulky it is and the accessories required. I’ve taken mine snorkeling and enjoyed it!

That makes sense. Having to add all the other stuff would be a bit cumbersome.
