Hey Drac. The mic is bearable but not of the best quality, and I prefer the vidgoggles view. You seem to be the only guy who does it and I like that, makes your content original. Sorry to be a negative nelly, but it's my honest opinion. I'd still watch if you kept it like this though, but I like the First Person better.

I agree with Archangel, I still enjoyed the video, the audio was bearable but not very good. I also prefer the "first person view" of the video goggles

Yeah, I think with some tweaking the audio will improve but he has a point here. No one else really does the PoV reviews. I say keep doing what you do brah (but experimentation is healthy). Also, how does the size compare to the Rotofury? You saying this is better than that holds a lot of weight for me but I'm skeptical still.

I prefer the gogglecams perspective but as far as mics go,if youre shooting on a DSLR why dont you get a shotgun mic instead like the one Aaron uses on his dslr? the Rode Videomicro it costs less than most of the high-end nerf blasters i think.

Nerf's overall theme this year seems to be "ridiculously oversized" but that said, I love this thing! Definitely adding the Twinshock to my Want list.

The sound on the lav mic was fuzzy, pov was far more clear. New viewing angle is great though. How long till taobao has the removalable elite conversion do ya think? Also do you think cutting the squishy head off mega darts would improve their range and accuracy? Maybe add a 20 gram airsoft pellet to compensate for the weight?

I like the idea of mixing both views. As for the lavalier mic, it sounds like you have a gain set too high in the recording pack (or wireless transmitter). I know constant audio checks can be annoying, but it allows for better quality.

Concerning the discounted Mega ammo, the BuzzBee​ darts that came with things like the Baron are sold separately in packs for dirt cheap at Walmart.

The Rotofury is revolver type too so you can't access all 10 shots vs the front loading here where you can. This utility + optional double firing makes me think this is better than the Rotofury too, but until it gets to my country and until I can get more space to put my blasters, I'm happy with the Cycloneshock.

The best cheap alternative to mega darts that I've found is the BuzzBee XL darts. they cost $1 less (at MSRP) and you get two extra darts than the Nerf 10 dart refill kit. they're suction cup tips, but if anything I've noticed an increase in accuracy from them.

The mic sounds the way it does because it's clipping since your audio is too loud for the sensitivity setting. Try to turn the gain/audio sensitivity down on your camera. The mic is in a good position, although the cable is definitely going to get in your way. Usually when I shoot this kind of video, I plug the lapel mic into an external mp3 recorder (like a Tascam DR07) and then match the audio tracks up later. Takes a couple more minutes when editing, but you get MUCH better sound quality.

I found the hard way that alternative Mega darts are pretty bad. However... the Mastadon works pretty well firing off-brand. All other blasters have trouble firing them.

you should take the flywheel cage, motors, etc from the Zeus along with the magazine system, mount it on your wrist, create an alternative rival magazine lock, place the battery in an alternative area, and have a trigger on the side of the lower part of you index finger to press with your thumb. after the painting the structure burgundy and black, you can then have a deadshot wrist gun, I think. it's just an idea

Wear the lav mic with the wire in under your shirt. It will help with the wire snagging, and help with a lot of the extra noise that comes from things touching and rubbing against the wire. I suggest trying that before completely giving up on the lav mic.

You should probably lower the sensitivity of the lav mic, assuming you’re gonna use it again. Also, the cable should really be run through your shirt, so you don’t catch it on a priming handle or something.

I actually like the first view audio needs tweaking but once tweaked will be a solid review angle. POV is always fun and a staple of your reviewing style but change is good honestly. Keep it up drac and I'll see you at the war Saturday. Nerf on bud

The audio is somewhat distorted and sounds as if it is peaking frequently, also the audio became desynchronized with the video, most noticeably toward the end of the first segment.

The audio is topping. It's adjustable on most mics, but more to it than a comment can handle. I prefer the POV if only because it is your signature and its comfortable memories for me.

You should do a video about what's your primary in the Mega line and what's your secondary in the Mega line. And you should do it like other series of blasters

The mic is a great idea, but the audio quality is actually inferior to the in camera mics you've used previously. Could have been a connection issue or it may be the equipment. I'd say try it again with a double-check of connections and the camera's audio capture settings. If that doesn't work, you might need to upgrade to a higher quality mic. Good luck!

i think your audio was clipping, so you may need to reset your audio recording level using the lav mic.

hey drag the video was awesome but as for the audio I was a little off it can be fixed by mounting the Mic better or if had an equaliser with the Mic I would bring down the low frequency of your voice because it sounds like a muffled rlly macho drac but great video
