Some of the only complaints I've heard on the lift are draw cycle related. I found it to be one of my favorite things. Crisp draw cycle straight into a solid back wall.

@@TripleRwoods maybe it's physiological. I've got a 30" draw. Been shooting a rx7 and a V3X 33. About 50/50 for the last couple years. One thing I noticed when switching back and forth at first, was that I was physically conditioned to the hoyt draw cycle. When I picked up the mathews I'd draw hard into the back wall. Eventually I could pick up either and draw them smoothly. Just took some time to develop the slightly different back or shoulder muscles.

I also love the draw cycle, I actually preferred it over the Alpha X.

Biggest surprise in this video is how much them arrows would burry into that new looking block target compared to the big shot

Well said, love the laid back approach. I’m shooting a VXR right now and man it’s a fricken shooter! Several 300 rounds in bowhunter class. My lift is on the way, looking forward to it.

I got a phase 4 33 and Lift 33. They are both great bows. The draw cycle on the Lift is noticeably stiffer and harder to draw. But it does have less reflex and seems to hold better after shot. But I wouldn’t say one is better than the other.

I feel like it’s jumpy too .. not sure why?! My rx7 ultra just holds better. Still getting the feel for it.

dame my vxr 28 is at 79 pounds and pulls easy my v3x is at 80 and pulls even more easy draw cycle is very person dependent cant wait to get my lift

I’ve been shooting a Pse for the past couple of years so I’m not use to the Mathews draw. I’m assuming over time I’ll get use to it. Everything else about it is awesome.

If you like a stiff draw cycle it’s for you I went with the hoyt rx8 because I wanted something light and a good draw cycle

Hence the rx8 is slower. If you want an easy draw cycle you will sacrifice speed, period

I had the opposite experience. I got to test the rx8, alpha 30x, and the lift 29.5 and felt the Mathews had a much smoother and consistent draw cycle. All were great bows and the Hoyts had a more comfortable grip, but that initial hump of the draw steered me to purchasing the lift. It's my first Mathews bow before anyone jumps at me for being a fanboy 😂

Same for me. I was shooting a Hoyt, went and test shot the Alpha X and Lift and I liked the draw cycle of the Lift more. The lift had a nice consistent pull all the way through with a nice transition to the backwall. The Alpha X draw cycle was all over the place like they were trying to create the illusion of a smooth and easy draw cycle. @@conkerinu

@@WolfinWolvesClothing713 I've heard of one derailing in the forums, out of the thousands sold. User error does exist, there are plenty of people that have no idea what they are doing when it comes to bows. I can make any bow detail on command with bad enough form.

What you're hearing is the string slapping the draw stops my buddies v3x is same way, on 85% letoff they dump so hard it's very noticeable. Rewatch it when he switches to the button an you'll still hear it.

I had a vxr 28. Hated the draw and the grip. Ended up selling that bow. I love the Hoyt draw cycle so much more. Love my pse draw cycle. I have a Athens axxis 35 on order at the moment. Heard good things about their draw cycle.

Yeah Ive shot Mathews since I was a teenager from the DXT, Reezen, to the v3. When I put a Hoty Ventum Pro 30 in my hands I fell in love with the draw cycle and the grip. I do like Mathews top hat system better because they don't just fall out and I like how Mathews have a tall riser but the draw cycle is garbage.

I drew one back it didn't have solid back wall it was sponge

The timing was off or you are simply bias because it's the most solid backwall I've ever felt on a bow.

Far too many people with authority have said the opposite. There are a few issues but a soft back wall is not one.

The lift has a very solid back wall for cable stops. It's not limb stop solid but really solid none the less.

To me not having a good draw cycle makes or breaks the deal! That’s huge especially when hunting!
