Thanks for measuring the angle of the kick! It really helps me to predict on what I'd be dealing with when tech poping them. Finally it starts to be the standart part of reviewing decks!

I hope Quasi keeps making these! Didn’t even realize they were twins until this video, but I’ve been really liking quasi decks lately, so I really want to try one of these next.

Im on my fourth ishod twin tail. I don’t think I’ll go back to a nose and tail. Hopefully companies keep making them

Yeah if it werent for youtube video testing certain pro's boards I definitely wouldn't skate a standard shape again

i love this size i fell in love with it years ago with baker when they made these flat concave tapered nose/tail boards. They even had a lil platform right after the bolts the run was perfect for doing 360s and nollie cabs. Or impossibles/bigspins. Just hard to find it these days in a brand i want to ride. I missed out on the grimple options or the 8.38 mini eggs. I really need to snag this shape/size. doesnt have to be equal length nose/tail but the tapered shape is pretty ideal for me when i stepped up from 8.13 to 8.38. I definitely like the flat/tapered shapes compared to the rounded nose/medium concave 8.38s. Baker 's "og" concave isnt the same football shape which i had ridden on a couple other sizes/graphics back in the day. They now have OG and C2 or B2 Which is a setup i have in the quiver...somewhat similar to my habitat 8.38. Krooked has some nice 8.38 options in 14" and 14.25" wb. I doubt ill ride the shape for the graphic its that good if you like skating 8.13-8.5 boards and run a nice quiver/truck collection. Though storing it in your trunk or general skating causes the tapered/flat concave to really get an aspect of warp/delam and once it chips and softens up you have to move on. Ive had mid presses with the flat bakers and by the time im done with them theyre pretty warped So if you want more "life" out of this shape you have to get a top or bottom press in the stack...but if you really like FLAT concave a middle press is pretty epic with the tapered nose/tail the run platform+kick profile is pretty nice for flow/park skating. Im gonna buy something else from their site so i figure i might as well grab a deck from them while im there. Fs flips with this shape bc of how you have to pop/flick and get your back foot to scoop/get out of the way is really something special once you get them dialed. Makes me wonder if theyre doing 3 stack presses to get their pop/shape to have better durability vs a 5 stack press.

If you can’t find Ishod Twin Slick 8.3, look for Krooked Worrest Twin Slick 8.3 as a substitute 👀

@@frankrotthier4392 Thanks, edited my reply, think 8.38 was on my mind from a recent Real 8.38 I bought.

When i started skating last year after 15 years off youre the first video that i saw that mentioned twin tail.. in that live stream when i heard to king of twin tails hadnt rid one yet i knew we had to get it done.. ive learned so many tricks on the quasi twins i will never ride another company.. i just wish they had multiple graphics for their twin tails.. keep grinding my guy..
@localjoe Жыл бұрын
Yeah the only problem is they just need to make more!
@thatgurl453 Жыл бұрын
The tails aren't just transitioning on angles. There's also a middle split that follows your center griptape line, running from tail tip to bolts. You can see it sideways, in sunlight with the graphic ply up. It's kind of like a rocker, sorta seesaw effect.
@localjoe Жыл бұрын
I’ll have to pay more attention but that would explain how durable it was

i bought a quasi and oh man. i have had a new board in awhile. my old board was so saggy and zero pop zone, i was not ready for that POP! great board. i did get a top layer small chip, but i can deal with that. board i chose was 8.75 it flips really nice for being wide. impressed on the quality pop

Krooked Bobby Worrest 8.3 twin is a slick also. I just got my thirt one, as I love this slick stuff. Really poppy board,( quite steep , got 3 times press I). Short 6.6 tails 14.4 wheelbase. Stiff& sturdy because the slick? Really like to see a revieuw on this one also. P.s. Great revieuw big like.
@anhiirr Жыл бұрын
these are pretty good Makes me wish i tried one with ventures never got the chance with that shape i may have to set up that combination. I was riding indys at the time or with that quiver/setup. Definitely good enough to revisit/keep in rotation
@jonathanginofilippi Жыл бұрын
How many fingers of flat? Is it steeper than a Deathwish steep? I really like minimal flat after the bolts. The deathwish has a spoon nose and tail, wonder if that board does too?

@anhiirr Жыл бұрын
yeah ive ridden all the 8.3s other than some of the newer "competition/specialized" shapes we have these days. PPL could easily run ventures or venture forged plates if they wanted something closer to an 14.5 wb or something between 14.25 and 14.5. Definitely like ventures lately in the quiver

Hey man, I like your videos, with the theme of double nose or double tail boards the only strange thing is that how you mark your truck from the front and back you see the same board but the sensation of the trucks is different, you understand me, wheels on Both ways are the same but it feels a little bit weird, I'm going to try a primitive twin nose and we'll see what happens.
