@@Memeology542 Kirito spent almost every hour of the day fighting the same enemy multiple times till he found out their strengths,weaknesses and the fastest and safest way to eliminate them he did that for every enemy he came across. He also as mentioned in anime too made it higher then any other player his reason for doing so is he explored every single floor completely, getting the best weapons, armor accessories and mainly Information . He basically did everything he could think of to help him excel above others once the main game releases unlike most other players Kirito had information that even other beta players did

the progressive series only really starts of after floor 1. Floor 1 is pretty much just like the original but later we get some insane changes, some insane new bosses and interesting new game mechanics.

I mean that was the idea when the SAO author started the progressive series. Some floors are actually divided into 2 LNs even. Only problem is: If you produce 100 movies you won't live to see the last one. With the current speed of the LN it is clear that even those won't even reach past floor 50 lol

Progressive is basically the creator of SAO rewrote the whole anime/manga of them going through each floor, in the manga and light novel they go through all the floors and its really good...but movies just show hyped moments from said manga/novel

Dog Lunar is actually a metaphor for the Lunar being tamed by the KZbin algorithm. The fact that he's a big dog is a metaphor for his own psychological weight holding him down after KZbin tamed him. The symbolisms and metaphors in the Lunar-verse are truly beautiful. 10 Lunar dogs out of 10

I'm not saying the entire Integral Factor story where they done so many BS like including Zekken or Alice in the SAO arc through BS Deus Ex Machina, but the way they conquer each floor and go through quests in order to reach the Floor Boss.

The progressive movie was great. Just one thing that i thought they missed the potential to make Mito Asuna's rival where i wouldnt find it wierd where Asuna bore a grudge against her because she did abandon her. We couldve had the great non-damsel Asuna of the Progressive novels and even more as she shows hate towards someone who wants to patch things up (Mito)

Really thought you were gonna wait for the whole trilogy to finish, then again any sane man would never waste an opportunity. I was sadly not into this, mainly because almost every scene felt like a ret-conn to me. Although I am pumped for the 2nd movie, because my favorite Mouse-girl who should have had appreciation in the main story-line is finally having her long over-due debut. Glad u enjoyed this series as far as it went.

I genially hate this movie because they introduced a whole new character we haven't seen. It sounds unreasonable but hear me out. This character 1) rewrites canon by herself. 2) Fails to teach Asuna MAIN GAME MECHANICS even tho Mito was beta tester. 3) DOES NOT CHANGE ANYTHING IN THE STORY. I've read progressive LN. It is great LN. And we're speaking about sao. Progressive LN made such a great job explaining who the characters are and why they are like this. It made great job telling a story overall. And here we have this movie that introduces new character for a sake for new character. LN started with Asuna in the dungeon alone trying to die because she thinks this is the only way left for her to escape this game. She knew nothing about the game. When i was watching this movie and saw Mito i thought they will rewrite canon a little bit so Asuna in the dungeon will try to kill herself because she lost her friend. BUT NO, THE CHARACTER LIVED AND DID ZERO IMPACT. Can't give this movie more than 4/10

This is my own head Cannon. I just see the change with the chonky boy to muscle man is just the difference of how Asuna and Kirito saw the world. Kirito since he already fought the boss as a beta tester, knew the game sees the boss as a big enemy that he has to kill. Just more pixels. that the kobold King might be. Asuna being newer to games sees it as a muscular monster because it's way more intimidating to her and to her that shows the strengh of the creature

Progressive is from LN, and in LN we going floor after floor. Because when author wrote SAO first time, he don't have option to write long story. And let me say, there is one elf character which I like a lot ;) ofc not because she is dark elf and there are picture of her ;)

btw there's a reason why it they go to 5th floor rather than 2nd floor because, Reki Kawahara don't want to adapt the 2nd floor as a movie because It feels like It's a filler. Since It was meant to be in Volume 1 Of the progressive, which is the same volume as Floor 1. And The other reason why not just go to 3rd floor because, he don't want to adapt a Incomplete Story arc. Since all 10 floors is connected of the same In game story arc layered to each other. But that's just a spoiler of what is it.

I just watched this anime movie for the first time here in mid-december 2022. I liked how Kirito got that grin on his face when the two girls say switch and he gets to slash his sword against Ilfangs abdomen, also when he dubbed himself as a beater, then walks past Asuna and smiles at her. That said, I don't get why they had to redo the story and introduce a new character, Minto, in the first place.

Seems like they wanted to fit an entire floor in one movie. Thing is, the first _half_ of the first novel in the progressive novels only records the events 30 days after the game started to where the movie ended. Starting at when Asuna and Kirito met in the dungeon and he saves her from herself. That is not enough for a feature length movie, of course. So, they added time in real life, time in-game before it became deadly, Kayaba’s speech and the storyline with Mito! …though I am confused why they skipped everything regarding Argo if they needed to kill time? I guess they at that point decided to stick with Mito only, seems like Argo will get morr screentime next movie.
