One question I never see answered in the reviews but is very relevant to me; Is it also possible with the Meatstick X to use a phone to setup a wifi bridge and monitor your cook from the cloud? This is possible for meater but I cant find anything on ot for the Meatstick except for their pricey Wifi-bridge product.

I have the older version, ordered in 2020, it's the orange base charger. I've always had problems with them, so I'm not entirely satisfied. Sticks have stopped functioning, sticks not holding charge and sticks just completely dying. Meatsick has replaced 1 stick twice and one stick once. I have 3 of them.

I have the Meatstick, my problem is the ambient temperature won't come up. My.probes all the way in like suggested, I do have the treager app, and it tells me what my temp in my smoker, but the Meatstick ambient temp is way off, don't know if you can calibrate it or not.

Admittedly I am a gadget guy, so either of these interest me. I have a cheap 4 probe thermometer that has a separate unit to read the temps at a distance (500 ft) and I have the Thermaworks SIgnals that has Bluetooth/WiFi. I'm happy with both of them. The one application this works for that my others can't is when cooking with a rotisserie. I'm looking forward to your comparison review.

Ordered a Meater Block almost 2 years ago, waited over a year to get it. When it finally arrived it lost it's connectivity whenever I closed the smoker lid or even when in the oven no matter how close I placed it. Sold it to a buddy for $50. Don't know if I'll trust these wireless thermometers again.....

Thank you for sharing your videos on Meat Thermometers. I purchased (2) Yummly's for family members and considering returning them since I watched your videos. Do you recommend the MeatStick over the Yummly? I do not want to give something that does not work, been through that before and I feel if I am spending a 100.00 I want the item to at least work. Is the Meatstick, Meter or the Yummly your #1 meat thermometer? Thank you.

Looked like the pit temp was way off. That's a concern if you're using a non-controller grill, ie. a kamado or kettle.

I've had a Meat stick for over a year. Can't get 2nd stick to work. Tried to do an update. Haven't ever used it for a cook because I dont trust it. The WiFi extender isn't battery operated. So if u don't have power within 6 ft of grill u r screwed. Also WiFi router within 150' but Extender doesn't connect. So need an extension cord to make it work. Customer support not great. Generally a POS for the $$$.. Extremely disappointed.

Meatstick X was by far the worst purchase I have made… replaced after 6 months due to loss of connection, a month later same story. Straight in the bin. Worst $169 I have spent.
