In the Disney Zorro show from the 50s and 60s, Diego's father at least found out in Season 2 and he was really helpful.

If the name Duncan Regehr sounds familiar, he was also Dracula in Monster Squad. Funnily enough, there is a comic book called Dracula vs Zorro, which Moarte reviewed the first year of Longbox of the Damned.

I think this is the tv show that introduced me to Zorro, I do remember watching a Zorro tv show as a kid.

YEEEEEEEEEEAH! 90s Zorro was my gateway into the character! This, the animated show, the Banderas films and The Legend of Zorro anime really defined the character for me :D

The Bright Knight himself meeting up with the character that inspired his own famous character? Nah, that'd never work. Edit: I'm working through the latest Zorro series, based on your recommendation. Liking it so far.

I remember the season one episode that introduced Colonel Palomarez, who showed that even Alcade Ramon had standards. Ironically, Luis and Jamie are the names of myself and one of my uncles. Which is which I'll leave for you to figure out.

I love how you highlighted two Zorro shows that I had no idea about. I'm really hoping that you end up doing the animated series from the 90s, because the main character their ended up playing Commissioner Gordon in Batman origins, as well as the animated version of Doctor Strange

I loved this show as a kid, but also as pre teen boy, I wished show was more bad ass, I mean action scenes here where always played for laughs and main bad guys were comic relief. But with that said, quality and production design was superb for the 1990 show, still holds up, huge fan.

Fantastic review. I was a huge fan of the character of Zorro thanks to a live action show from Disney with Guy Williams and an animated show from Filmation with Henry Darrow voicing the lead. This new version of the mythos was just amazingly done and well written.

Hey! One of my old favorites! Thanks to syndication, i saw it along with the 60's Batman, though i was too young to keep up with the stories, IE i had to constantly ask my dad what they where saying, since my english wasn't good enough yet. Just curious, have you seen the animated show from the 90's? I'm not asking for a review or anything, just never hear it discussed as often as this or Banderas tenure.

Thank you for bringing up the new Zorro series. I hadn't even heard of it, but I remember watching this series and the old Disney series with my grandfather. I loved this series and the new one. I have even tracked down the 4 audio books of the original Zorro. Thank you.

Too bad they didn’t get the previous Zorro actor to play Antino’s Mentor. That would have been better than Anthony Hopkins as the mentor. Maybe the previous actor is too old when this movie was made.
