Mikaela Israelsson that’s true black people are the most tired of that trope since majority of films taking place in times where we were marginalized, Hollywood films loving diminishing and sugarcoating the reality of these trouble eras, and I also feel green book being the most safe film that focused on race win best picture over more challenging and game changing racialized films (Roma, black panther, BlacKkKlansman, the hate u give, it Beale streets can talk) was another problematic error to the bad reputation it has gotten

Fun fact: Ever since Honest Trailers started in 2012, no movie that was nominated for Best Picture and got a full Honest Trailer has ever won the top prize. Now, if only one of you would bring up the hypocrisy of not giving Avengers: Endgame multiple awards for its conclusion after doing the same for Game of Thrones.

I agree with some people here, I like Danielle and I'm sure she's a great writer for honest trailer, but I'm starting to skip the episodes she hosts..which makes me sad for the work put into them. I understand the reason for the actual ending of Marriage Story, showing that people can successfully coparent even after a nasty divorce. However, I would have peraonally loved the movie even more if it ended after Adam Driver sung the song in the diner. It felt like a more emotional beat in the film, really encapsulating that character's internal conflict throughout the movie.
