@Riprake
@Riprake 8 ай бұрын
Technically, his daughters' different hair colors in the original movie meant they couldn't all be both Triton and Athena's daughters either (since the gene for red hair is recessive, among other things), but I just figured the merfolk reproduce via laying and fertilizing eggs, and that this makes surrogate parenting and adoption for childless couples a cinch: people down there probably say "It's not cheating if you're just passing eggs around to be fertilized." So, y'know, maybe he *did* have just one wife, albeit also a bunch of surrogates.

If Disney wants representation, then fine. Just pick an original folktale. I’ve been reading about a Chilean folktale about a ghost ship called the Caleuche or the Enchanted Ship/Warlocks’ Ship. It’s a ghost ship full of hard-partying ghost sailors, that appears on foggy days and kidnaps people who wander the beach. Some say the ship’s final destination is a secret city in the Andes, which is full of treasure and inhabited by giants. Disney, I demand that our next princess be a Chilean ghost pirate!
