Thank you for being so open and honest! You learned a lot from this experience and I am looking forward to seeing how you get on with the next training block!

Thank you! Really appreciate that, hopefully Sunday isn’t too horrible and I can document a more successful training block next time 💪

This is so good! I can't wait to use excessive creme egg consumption as my next excuse. Love the honesty and openness. good luck with the marathon. I hope it doesn't hurt too much.

I get the unsettling feeling of knowing that you could have done more to prepare, cut less corners etc. But it's not your first marathon, and maybe your prep wasn't ideal but experience will be on your side. Best of luck for Sunday, I hope it goes as well as possible!

I think like you say, it will be a learning experience either way, even if it is knowing what not to do next time. My training went ~85% to plan, so was pretty happy with things. Will be back next year for another go and aim for faster. Leant a lot from the experience, so definitely have things to work on. Its a lifelong journey. Good luck next week!

@@harryruns1 Thank you, I have actually had my races already this year, so can relax a little until after summer is done. Just remember to enjoy yourself, it is supposed to be fun!

@@harryruns1 cheers man. Don't know if you found this but transitioning from doing half marathons to doing a full marathon has taught me a lot more in regards what I need to be with my body to be the best runner I can be, especially now I'm older and over 40. Think I can now take what I've learnt and apply that to other events and get some PB's this year,
