@ Charli and Troye Sivan just finished a sold out stadium tour across the US. Brat was not just an online moment. Also, Chappell has not “sustained top 10 hits a year after the album was released.” Chappell and the album didn’t blow up until this spring/early summer, that is when her music entered the charts. Brat’s lack of hit singles is also part of why I think it deserves album of the year. It’s stayed on the charts and remained popular despite the lack of hit singles, meaning the streams are coming from the whole album, rather than mostly a few songs. I don’t dislike Chappell and she definitely released one of the albums of the year, but I think Brat is THE album of the year.

Taylor’s album and songs were very weak this year. She had better albums before but imo TTPD and Midnights didn’t even deserve nominations. If any other artist realised those albums, nobody would care. They only cared because of the lore Taylor creates around these albums, but it was poor lyrically, melodically and the production was extremely unoriginal and bland. She was only nominated because swifties will tune it to watch again.

Actually, I feel out of all the album of the year submissions, TTPD is the best written one. Taylor is a solid lyricist. What hurt TTPD has a whole was (1) the anthology and how long the album is as a whole. She should’ve gotten rid of filler (2) stop working with Jack or at least create some new sonic soundscapes (3) give us some visual la (4) having too many variants ruined the public perception of the album as it r came off as greedy But as i stated earlier, lyrically, it was me of the best albums of the year and best of Taylor’s career. Now as a whole, who should win? Charli or Chappell. The only issue is that if Beyonce doesn’t win, people will go to great lengths to label the Grammys as racist but I don’t think that’s good enough of a reason to give her the award. Cowboy Carter was a great album but was it THE album of the year? No. Charli and Chappell both had extraordinary careers and pushed new l sounds and visuals into the mainstream.

I think people forget that when Beyoncé wins these awards, it's not just her being recognized. For example, thanks to Renaissance, Grace Jones received her first-ever Grammy. I mean Espresso will receive its flowers, then not giving her best new artist sounds weird or unreasonable, BUT Raye has to win! If anything, RAYE should take home a grammy that night! ALSO Charlie, Beyoncé and Billie for me. Its always a balance act between popularity and craft, and all these women succeeded this in their own right. Album of the year should be Brat, personally im also for Beyoncé, but Brat was a cultural phenomenon and a breath of fresh air for pop. If not im more than happy if CC would do it. Its also doing its work and had an impact (maybe more subtle at first glance, but it exudes itself in the long term) and has some phenomenal standout songs on it. For me it's telling more of a story and is profound and production wise stellar. Lol, but by any mean, BRAT is literally perfect and uplifted many lives this year! I love its radicalness and confidence in sound.

I think the clear HATER here is you, because you keep bringing Billie up and you sound so bitter about her. I think every other artist on the list deserves a nomination; Sabrina, Chappell, Kendrick, Charli... but Taylor is by far only there because of the attention she brings. Taylor Swift doesn't have a SINGLE iconic song that will last the test of time. None. She doesn't have anything to compete with Billie Jean or Bohemian Rhapsody or Let It Be. Blank Space, her biggest hit, is nothing compared to these legends.
