I am glad I saw her live when I did on 4/20/15 here in Edmonton because I knew her career in music wasn't going to last... Beyonce who I saw a month later down the block at Commonwealth Stadium on the other hand? Well.... Sad that even the clip of Rihanna singing at someone's B-day last week was used as proof that her voice is shot... Which admittedly it was...

I am so glad that I'm not the only one who doesn't like Lose Control. It sounds like... AI. That same mainstream white soul voice, those same "I'm 14yro, and this is deep" heartbreak lyricism, and that same "this is indie/folk pop, and it's unique" sound. I hate it.

I did not know thst kesha bit. What a dirty business. I notice that black music trends always become popular and then the white guys copy it and they become massive. Justin copying michael jackson. Britney copying janet. Xtina copying black rnb or black ballads like whitney or mariah… its a trend that goes back to elvis and the beatles. Audiences are racist. Nothing else to add. A real shame

I think Witness had some serious potential if the singles were switched up. Never Really Over is one of my favorite Katy songs too. But nothing on the album came close to it. Small Talk was great too but omitted. Idk I agree that 143 was a disaster and shouldve been scrapped after Womans World. And the subsequent deluxe tracks released LONG after all the blowback of everything else sounded all the same. Crazy to me. Ill stay rooting for her as an OG fan. I think she needs a new team if they have all been the same since Witness

I never cared for her in the 60's or whenever Sonny and Cher was on. What followed was classic Hollywood trash. It's rare a celebrity from one industry is competent enough to succeed in another without the original being a major influence. In other words celebrity is as celebrity does.

I wish that T Pain would do the same. He said long ago that he writes songs for many white peoples in the industry but they can't give him the credit because they can't let it be knows a black man wrote it or their racist friends and fans won't let them. It's simply ridiculous we are still living in this hateful ass world today.

Why did Priscilla mess up her face? They did that with Keri Hilson with Beyonce. Keri wrote a lot of those earlier Beyonce hits, and they were playing in Hilson's face. All but ruined that woman's career for no reason.

I will get attacked for this, but this doesn't have to do with race EVERY time. Songwriting is a skill and artists are PRODUCTS. carefully orchestrated products, with vocals, looks, attitudes etc. Just because you can sing and write doesn't mean you have what is marketable

It shouldn't be legal to steal someone else's songs or vocals. The song should get banned until proper credit is given. The problem is so many of these people are working for peanuts and don't have a good lawyer. By the time the get credit the song is already over.

It’s funny how I never hear people saying Travis Scott or Peso Pluma are bad influences for young boys. Yet, children under 18 still listening to them. When it comes to women, they get criticized for being a bad influence towards young girls. Like. Are just going to let boys become men and and won’t allow girls to become women?

You know a lot of people made references from Judy’s Over the Rainbow performance. Liza Minnelli, Judy’s first daughter, recalled that she and her mother were at some public event. In the bathroom of that event, a drunk woman approached Judy saying, ‘Judy! You mustn’t forget the rainbow Judy!’ (something among those lines). Judy was so pissed at this strange drunken woman for approaching her and her daughter that she just went cursing at her. Liza said that her mother seldomly cursed in front of her children, but the rainbow comments is what she got mad at. A lot of people viewed Judy’s life as a sad one, the newspapers would always talk about how Judy was washed up and finished because of her turmoils with her relationships with her husbands and the industry not finding any value in her anymore. The public still adored her regardless of what the media said. Judy still took the things they said to heart, in her unfinished memoir she spoke a lot about it and how certain individuals have made it their agenda to make her life hell, she of course was under the influence as her memoir further progressed. As much as I think Judy wanted someone to love and for someone to love her just as much back, she always had her children of which she was all so very proud of. She would say it constantly on how much her children bring her joy, Liza in particular would always defend her mother when someone would try to provoke how Judy raised her children. Constantly moving, living a relatively poor life because their mother wasn’t being paid properly regardless of working herself to the bone. Judy would call up her friends to stay with them for one day then live in a small apartment for the next. The media would always ask Liza if she would have rather had stayed at home instead of moving around so much, she would say ‘but I was home!’, as long as she and her mother were together that’s all that really mattered. People like to think that they knew Judy, but as Judy said in her memoir nobody knows a real damn thing about her. She took what she had and she ran with it, she made the best out of a terrible hand. While a lot of people think of her as a tragic figure who didn’t make it “over the rainbow” during her life, her talent and persistence made an impact on so many that she is still regarded as one of the greatest performers in all of history.

You never hear abt ppl like her blowing up organically. They never developed a core following before the majors stepped in. Artists have to understand that artistry & music business are two different things.. educate yourself on the psychology & mentality of the ppl in the business you're dealing with.. yikes!

I’m just kinda curious is she know who or what milli vanilli is? Because if Kesha is singing then it’s not milli vanilli since all they did was lip sync. Either way though definitely not cool for other artists to just be given something someone else poured their soul into. Also I’m kinda curious as to how many of these people sign messed up contracts that have a clause in them that anything they write is owned by the label and not them.
