Yeah Eastman actually doing box art is very cool of Neca. And his gritty duo tone style is classic and legendary. When I was a kid the way they did the duo tone, B&W style amazed me. Still does, a lot of work and not a lot of creators were using it.

I think the neca joint issue is for older figs mostly. Any of the alien or predator that are labeled "ultimate" seem to be awesome, all mine held up. I did get one non ultimate alien and it absolutely did break within 30 seconds of opening 🤣

Grabbed this figure online when he went up, I'm looking forward to getting him in hand. I found Slash a while ago, and love that figure! He's on the 'toon Tokka body, and it works great! Grabbed Dreadmon in store, so I think I'm all in on the Archie line, though I don't know the source material.

Awesome review, I was finally able to get this guy and he rocks . The grenades can be attached to the strap on his chest like in some of the promo shots, it seems glued but it’s actually just stuck, there is even a bit of oil under it once you pry it free, then boom! Grenades are less useless 😊

Nice review! I have this figure but I'm not unboxing any of the Mirage line until I can get my hands on the 4 turtles themselves and they aren't shipping until June. But at least I was finally able to order them in Canada. I haven't read all the comments but I've heard you can hook the grenades on the strap on his chest or back? Maybe?

Unfortunately, the grenades do not attach. It was displayed at some convention that way, but the final product cannot do it. Pretty disappointing

Hmmmm.... that is totally bizarre. So it was supposed to happen, but didn't. Maybe they can be sort of held by other figures? I will most likely leave them in the box. Speaking of boxes, I normally keep all my packaging but I'm getting to the point where I just don't have the space for package storage. But these boxes with the Eastman artwork on them are so nice. Wow, hear those popping sounds? It’s the entire TMNT fandom’s heads exploding from my sacrilegious remark. But it’s true, those comics are just all over the place, especially in the beginning. I much more prefer the IDW run. But one thing the Mirage comics do have going for them is the grungy artstyle so aesthetically this certainly is gorgeous. Anyway, another great and funny review man. You and Robo from The Fwoosh are my two main action figure guys so keep up the great work!

A great review of the mighty Zog!! The Mirage comics Turtles are my personal favorite but whenever you have time you should watch the 2003 TMNT animated series, the Shredder in that was AWESOME. To top it all off, they end the series with an animated movie called "Turtles Forever"! In the movie the 2003 Turtles encounter the 80s toon Turtles!!! If you don't watch the series, still check out Turtles Forever!!! 🐢🐢🐢🐢🐀

@@NostalgiaUnboxed these companies besides neca doesn't even do mirage or even comes close to topping the four horseman mirage tmnt & april figures from 2009. i dont see why they dont rerelease those molds plus the 2015 mirage foot pack in individual boxes like they did for the 87 and 90s films along with a release of two packs. regardless of the chinese bootleggers excuse, those bootleg mirage figures are missing the shuriken the baby turtles the climbing claw hands and the street build a diorama. Why Neca Super 7 loyal subjects playmates figuarts etc keeps milking the either last ronin comic and mostly the 87 cartoon promotional art, screen accurate 87 cartoon or the playmates toy line rather than trying the other incarnations of the tmnt like the puma blues zuli souls winter tmnt comic as figures, or the popular 2003 show (nickelodeon acts like it doesn't exist but rips off turtles forever and steals characters exclusive from that show*), the next mutation ninja turtles to go with the lighting collection in space rangers ( first tmnt power rangers crossover since hasbro released that line based on that fairly new crossover*) neca has done the bad incarnations of the tmnt or referencing the decayed rubber tmnt 3 suits as "the coming out of their shells, getting down in your town, turtle tune" or those universal monsters tmnt figures nobody asked for. they only recolor those 87 figures molds with a mirage paint coat like loyal subjects and playmates cause their too lazy or make them cartoonishly bad in sculpt like that stranger things tmnt crossover playmates again that never got around to doing mikey or don cause the stranger things hype is dead or poor damage control quality where they break in box like mondo and the upcoming mezco toys mirage cartoonish figures is gonna break the bank and don't have as much articulation as their heavily detailed realistic tmnt with the multicolored mask at what I'm seeing.
